Tried to fix the broken pieces, now I'm leaving
But you made it loud and clear I’m not enough
Tried to fool me more than once to keep me dreaming
'Cause you knew the truth would tear us apart

If you pull me down then I'll come around
And rise up to come show you who I am
I feel fire inside, my heart’s desire
I'm breaking free from you

Tick-tock, watch the days go
I'm losing track of time
Lost in your playzone
Don't overcomplicate
Now we're in warzone
You're screaming, "Oh no, oh no, oh no"

Tick-tock, I'll take you dancing
In time wе might break
You think you're fancy
I play those gamеs my way and you’ll be beggin’
"Please baby, don't go, don’t go, don't go"

I hear those voices from far away
They help me to escape (Escape)
I found myself and I'm finally free from
Your bad love in every strength

Tick-tock, watch the days go
I'm losing track of time
Lost in your playzone
Don’t overcomplicate
Now we're in warzone
You're screaming, "Oh no, oh no, oh no"

Dancin', dancin'
Think you, think you fancy
Tick-tock
Don't go, don't go, don't go

I hear those voices from far away
They help me to escape (Escape)
I found myself and I'm finally free from
Your bad love in every strength

Tick-tock, vrijeme curi, gdje si više
Usne grizem, sama jedva dišem
Tick-tock vrijeme juri ne mogu više
Oh no, oh no

Tick-tock, I'll take you dancing
In time we might break
You think you're fancy
I play those games my way and you'll be beggin'
"Please baby, don't go, don't go, don't go"

Dancin', dancin'
Think you, think you fancy
Tick-tock
Don't go, don't go, don't go

I seriously dislike those outfits from the 1st rehearsals. It is Barbara Dex in the makings and reminds me Tereza Kerndlova 'sexy silver' costume (yikes).

It looks like kinda haute couture except designed by Kanye West. Ill-conceived.

If only she had another outfit ! I'm part of those who don't really like it. Albina is such a beautiful woman and the outfit she wore during the NF was cute. I liked the urban aspect of it. I don't know what's around her belt now but I'm not liking it.

The problem is that when you're counting on a stylist, once the outfit is done, it's done. I'll just try to get used to it !

Why is Zigman allowed to continue making costumes for Croatia's representatives after the previous flop that got the Barbara Dex award and got Nina Kraljic mocked by anyone who'd seen it?

I have to say this is the song that stays with me the most and from all the uptempo ones I find it more original than Azerbaijan, San Marino, Moldova etc. which also sorta felt too much going for the same Fuego-ripoff.
Watching her odds shortening exactly now feels about right. I think she will be a one of the surprises and with a bit of luck could enter the overall top 10 (at least of the public).

Thank you! I can listen to it in English, but it kind of misses something. It doesn't in Croatian for me.:)
For me it's sort of the other way around, but it's maybe because I know Croatian and the lyrics don't convince me as much as the English ones (but I seem to be among few, so it could be just me).

IMO a singer feels better the emotions of the song in mother's song so we all hear that.

When it comes to the techique, the dynamics of the vocal can be developed better in the language you speak.

If I'm not mistaken, this song was originally written in English and the Croatian version came afterwards and that kind of shows lyrics-wise. Same with Loco Loco, the English lyrics are not comparable to the Serbian ones. It's a whole different vibe.

Maybe it's because I don't know any Croatian. Usually, whenever any song meant for the English-speaking audience gets translated into Lithuanian, the result is barely passable, at the very best. Anyway, I still like the Croatian version better. :p

It doesn't matter which one comes first.

The diction of the words, and composition of the sentences in the lyrics, defines dynamics of the vocal, but also the quality of the performance depending on how you express the vowels a e i o u when you sing long notes.

Try to sing by yourself in the same way the phrases:

Time is running

And

Vrijeme juuuuuuri

And you will then realize the difference in the vocalization and how the final product sounds.

It doesn't sound the same, no matter how hard you try, right? Eeh
