navras - There are proper threads for overall opinions, though. At the moment the 'who do you want to qualify from the semis' threads are on the second page of the general (Måns Mania) forum section, and I'm pretty sure there was a thread around somewhere for ranking videos.

Well, I'm not sure if it is only me but I can't "relax" so much. Last part of song is flawless but simply, I feel some imperfections in first and second verses. Keep this stage on minimalism is right decision but I think there was too much minimalism here + I do not think this backdrop of Hvar works well. It is impressive video but not so much on for LED backdrop...I'm sorry, but I do not feel it is taken maximum from staging. Also, imo she should dress some effective white dress. On this too dark staging in dark dress there is no much effects. Furthermore, IMO in Stockholm she needs more lighting.

The vocals were amazing from the beginning to the end. The word 'disappears' tickled me a bit, but that's it.
As for the staging, I think that will most probably be different.

I can't understand people comparing her voice to Ellie Goulding's. Ellie could only dream to have a voice as beautiful as Nina!

I hate those boring pop singers like Ellie Goulding or Adele...

Well, ofcourse it is gonna be different! That last part which she changed a bit, I think that is the part where back vocals are comming at fullest!

Wow, I really hope they're not planning to go with that blue light... you could barely see her throughout the performance... :'D

Great performance xcheer I think that the performance could be even stronger with back vocals, but I guess that we'll know for sure in a few weeks :D

Definitely the best live performance of the song so far! Gives me some more hope that this may make top 5 after all, despite drifting in the odds recently. She's improved her image a lot, and the vocals - particularly in the choruses - are sounding much more assured and steady than in previous performances. As I'm seeing it, there are three things they should be focusing on for now to really wow the audience in May:

 • Vocal refinement - She's improved considerably, but still needs more practice of the falsetto parts at the end of each chorus, where she continues to struggles a little, and adding backing singers who become more prominent as the song goes on would help a lot with build-up and power.
 • Staging - The stage presentation here wasn't terrible, but it was static and unchanging for three minutes, making everything feel like a drag. It should start out calmer and more intimate - a faint blue with some smoke and the occasional flash of lightning, perhaps - gradually building to a huge, stormy climax with lights and wind.
 • Most importantly, camera interaction - She's performing well vocally at the moment, but she's kind of just staring off into the distance, which makes the whole thing feel cold and unengaging. Looking at the camera and occasionally smiling would help this connect to the audience much better.
I'm being a little harsh here, but it's just because I want to see the song do well. This really has the potential to sink or swim depending on what they do with it in the next month.

No, you aren't. You just have real notices that something doesn't work completely in this staging and you said it perfectly. I would add that Nina should dress white dress and maybe at start only have some simple dark blue coat. And definitely, big NO for this backdrop! Something more simple but yet impressive! Maybe only waves, thunder and lighthouse sometimes...but no, this backdrop is too "complex" (especially with Hvar city motives) and too dark, doesn't work.

WOW!!!! Great vocals!!! Nina is not yet shining on stage - but that vocal performance was just beautiful! I now love the last part of the song. Keep it like this!
The vocals are what it would take most to improve.... interactions with the cameras, the dress and the backdrop is quite easily fixed.
When (not "if") this all comes together Croatia might be skyrocketing up my list!
I have felt there has been something missing in this song. I have loved Nina's voice from the start. But the part of the song that goes only "liiiiiighthouse"... the refrain - has lost me a bit. Now I think that is changing.

I agree about everything you said, unlike this. I think her interaction was well for a ballad.

If there is a fan favorite that goes way below expectations this is it, basically Maraaya 2.0. I remember last year after the initial hype and after fan event promo they started slipping in the odds and never recovered. This seems to be following the same path.

I'm not going to make any big predictions one way or the other about this song at the moment, but I don't think it's quite Maraaya 2.0. Maraaya's entry was a sort of soul pop that's never had the hugest successes in recent Eurovision history, while Lighthouse is the type of ethnic power ballad that's had a lot of relative success (most notably having similarities to Only Teardrops). I think it could end anywhere from 1st to 20th, but if it flops I feel like it'll be more an issue of presentation than of the song itself.
