I can't believe someone was faster than me, she announced it like 3 minutes ago... 
Oh well...I'm much more calm now we have the date and time, I was checking her Facebook every day to see that info and ended up being disappointed...nothing there

Well, no wonder that sometimes the word "OGAE" is spelled as "OGAY"
They just have the most typical musical taste, the one of the average Eurovision fan that I talked about yesterday/2 days ago in another thread.
It's a matter of taste, but imo innovative does not mean good. I don't think that's the best song this year tbh.

To me it's really hard to believe Russia will win this. I think everyone is overrating that song because it's Sergey, because it's catchy and Eurovision-like, but people seem to forget that the Eurovision audience was punishing Eurovision-like songs these last years rather than rewarding and making them a winner. I think we have seen a change in voting and more modern songs and songs that stand out with something (be it different song than others, different performance than others...) are getting the votes. Russia just doesn't give me that. It's a typical Eurovision song and their choreography reminds me of what Britney, Christina Aguilera and others were doing in 90's. Dance moves, formation while dancing...everything. "Thunder and lightning, it's getting exciting" + "unforgettable so unbelievable" may be one of the worst lyrics this year. I just refuse to believe this can actually win.
Especially because to me, last year's Russia song was so much better. Now, back to Nina - she doesn't have much promotion and performances behind her, she has only 2 songs and one of them is "Lighthouse". It's probably even natural that everyone thinks that a completely new artist can't win the Eurovision competing with more experienced and known artists. So - I think - If Nina rates bad on some polls and odds, it's not because of the song but lack of belief that she,as inexperienced as she is, is capable of delivering an outstanding performance.

"I think what everyone is expecting is an lighthouse in the video, but we made a bit different one. Inside of it is one of the two Ninas in the video, and that is what the harmonious climax revolves around." - said the director.
"The story follows concerned Nina on the planet Earth; she is looking for her link with the spiritual Nina, the one not bothered by the earthly troubles and difficulties, who is floating peacefully in the universe, radiating hope. At the end of the video all the problems finally get to Nina, who then confronts them, but also realizes that she's not alone and has a protection" - describes Nina.

I don't really care about the videoclip, I don't think videoclips matter very much. what they shoul be focussing on is in creating an impactful, although tasteful, staging. And someone's gotta do something about Nina's looks. Let's face it, she looked awful on that live performance in the TV studio, like a cleaning lady or a provintial hairdresser.
She doesn't have to be beautiful, but she will have to look interesting and artistic and on the right side of charismatic. That's very important. You've got the song and you've got the singer. Now you only have to present both of them them the best possible way in order the get the result.

The video is very interesting imo. It's really well-produced. I think it would be pointless if she made yet another beautiful video on the sea with lighthouses all around. However, the news are already posting articles with titles "And where is the lighthouse!?". I suppose this is too deep for some people. Even though, I'd still like her to stick to the stormy scenes on the stage as well.
She seems so satisfied and happy about the video. She likes that she now has two videos, preview video which is closer to the motives of the song and the official video which is how she subjectively views her song when she sings it.

It's strange to me that in the moment she sings "no more fear, wall of clouds disappears" and I have a feeling it's going better for her (even the music is a little bit 'happier' after that part), we see lightning on the sky and then rain starts falling.
The video by itself is good, but it's just that I feel that sometimes it fails to match the atmosphere created by the instrumental part. :/ (light instruments and atmosphere vs. dark and heavy video scenes).

That music video is rubbish. Really cheesy. Should have stuck with amazing original. I still worry about Nina's stage presence.
