The 2012 Croatian Eurovision representative, Nina Badrić, has revealed she was invited to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest before being contacted by the Croatian broadcaster HRT.
Nina, who is popular across the former Yugoslavia, planned to represent the country with the song “Da se opet tebi vratim” (To return to you again), written by Serbian composer Aleksandra Milutinović. Nina received the call from the former Bosnian head of delegation Dejan Kukrić. “There is nothing more challenging than representing a country other than your own at Eurovision”, Nina said.
Nina also revealed that she had a horrible experience in Baku and criticised the Croatian delegation, saying nothing was functioning properly within the team. On the contrary, she praised the unity of the Bosnian and Serbian delegations.
Nina Badrić will be holding a concert in Sarajevo’s largest arena, Zetra, on Thursday – Valentine’s day.
