Yes, congrats Denmark!

SVT are a bunch of idiotic morons. Denmark will benefit more from ESC than Sweden will do, and Sweden will pay for it.

This is only 'cause SVT want to make some sort of statement... gosh I hate SVT.

For sure I will not change my Danish flag back to the Swedish one.

So why to go to Malmö, when we can announce next year in May that the winner of ESC 2013 is - Denmark. Interesting.
:D
Well, I am affraid that ESC will transform in something like that in the future...lol...after all, there is youtube, every country can record the videoclip for a song and publish it there, no need to travel and spend money, no need for venues....voting can be also organized online, so we can have something like Eurovision - Youtubevision....hahahhaha...it could easily happen that we are going towards to it! Oh my God, what an absurd!

Just because Sweden hosted in 2000 and Denmark won that year, doesn't mean the same thing will happen again. Even if the contest is held in Malmo, and is close to Denmark..it's like saying Georgia would have won in 2012.

I know it's confusing. But the article said "Congrats Denmark for winning ESC 2013. Why? Yes they think Denmark will be the big winner of ESC 2013 since they will make most money of it. According the article we already have a winner of ESC 2013 and it's Denmark.

And months after this, Denmark is topping all the top lists for this year. xrofl3xrofl3

I have missed this thread before, but it is interesting that Denmark was written in an article last year to win in 2013, and now is a huge fave to win the whole thing with only a month left. :p I have the last few years had a suspicision about ESC, that it is in some way, already decided who will win ESC, at least that it is between a few countries in beforehand. If you look at the top the last few years, it is countries that has been in one way or another is economically ready for ESC that does well.

The last 5 years winners: Russia, Norway, Germany, Azerbaijan and Sweden are all countries that hasn't been affected with the economic crisis that has striked several european countries, at least not in the same way as for example Greece and Spain. All these five countries has got resourses to host Eurovision when they won, and also that it is different kind of countries each year makes it look less suspicious and if it is one country in Europe that has got money to host next year it is Denmark for sure.

I have also noticed a fun way of "it's their time now"-decidement when it comes to top 10. In Baku, We saw a few countries that hasn't been top 10 in quite some time (Spain and Albania since 2004, Serbia since 2008, Estonia since 2009). We also saw some of the more "rich countries" doing top 10 2nd or 3rd time in a row (Sweden, Russia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy).

I hope though that this is just sillyness and that it is a coincidence, but it is interesting I think to look at the policital, economical and historical ways for the countries in the top 10. I think I should come back with a analysis like this again in a month to see if it is right. But don't be surprised if Greece, Armenia, Norway and some other random country is top 10 cause "It's their turn again" and that Denmark goes and wins the whole thing. ;)

Emmelie deserved it so much! Congratulations Denmark, you had the best song, the best artist and the best performance and I voted for you xcheer
The voting was really exciting, it looked like Greece was winning and if they would win I would never watch again. When Azerbaijan was close behind with that sleasy guy I was afraid that we would have to go back to that land of dictatorship!
It was really cool to see Emmelie walk out on the bridge meeting the crowd as a winner.

Although, what the f**k SVT? You announced the winner before everyone had voted? Yeah, that sure makes the other artists happy when they get points.
And the artist from Italy rolled his eyes when he got 12 points! Diva.. xqueenbitch

Petra was amazing, she has done an amazing job and i'm proud to be a Swede, we did a great show and in my opinion I think that this was the best Eurovision Song Contest ever. The design, stage, production, songs, acts, voting etc.
Denmark is going to have a hard time trying to do it better than us ;)
Im going to remember this year as the best one ever actually, where the one who deserved it most won and the production was great.
Last year there was a thread named '' when the diaspora dies '' well it has returned from death as Sweden gave :12: to Norway and vice versa while Russia, Ukraine, Belarus etc. gave each other high points.
Who thought :ie: would finish last? I liked Loreens performance but it was a bit messy, she should have just performed Euphoria.
:dk: :ua: and :hu: had the best performances and the best songs this year xlove

By the way, what did I tell you? I was right, Robin did not finish in the top 10
And the act with Petra Mede xshock:lol:

Congratulations to Denmark. My personal fave (I gave 15 votes to them). A brilliant song, voice and performance. I really enjoyed the staging too. Also well done to Netherlands, Italy and Hungary for respectable finishes and Ukraine (my 2nd choice) for 3rd place.

Commiserations to Ireland, Spain & France.

Germany - Let this be a lesson to you, copying last's years song is not a good idea no matter how well you do it
UK - I was disappointed with the staging, I felt Bonnie started off too nervous, the running order really didn't help and we needed a stronger song. What really killed it for though was her voice. It lacked strength and depth to my ears. I actually think UK deserved to finish last to be honest.

And well done to Sweden for being excellent hosts. I loved your presentation of the whole contest, Petra was amazing and the effort and heart that went into was clear.

Hihi, the original topic was an opinion piece written by three Stockholm-based hotel managers and published in Aftonbladet. In essential they argued that all revenues and beneficial effects of Eurovision was given away to Denmark for free. Perhaps they were right, but I doubt it and I always felt SVT made the right decision (after an initial huge disappointment reaction).

Lol, they did it :D
Anyway, congratulations :dk: Denmark. I was cheering for Emmelie's and her song at final, so I can't be dissatisfied. Best winner, which Europe could choose in Saturday. Copenhagen 2014 xhii
