Re: BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA 2012

^ maybe usual financial problems. They want to be 100% sure that they are in, imo.

BHRT was born with financial problems

Why do you know that? An intuition or reliable information? Seems like BHRT changed their mind when they knew about Zeljko representing Serbia...

Hari said that in many interviews in last few days, and Graja confirmed it. Hari said too that he is in contact with Željko to avoid the similarity between their songs.

Did he say that he wants to fund his own participation? Then BHRT shouldn't keep silence, imo. It's awesome variant.

That's almost standard in BiH. Dino paid Thousands of Euros, but he's not a poor man, neither is Hari.

When you know, I don't understand your posting before.
I meant and I'll say it again. BHRT with its financial problems has awesome candidate who can fund himself. They should make an official announcement asap.

I'd like to see Boris Novkovic again if they don't follow through with the Hari Mata Hari rumours.

Somehow it give me the impression that anyone could go on stage for BiH who has the money to pay that. Sounds so mean, but if I was the HOD and could decide about having a lot of money for promo and props or just nothing... OK, clear decision. I wonder what happens if they ever win. They could host it in general (arena, hotels etc.) but they would probably have to pass it over to some Scandinavian country. :(

Feminnem only has one girl left inside the group, that was born in what is today BiH. But Boris Novkovic has never written much for other people, only a handfull of songs.

Trust me, they'd be too ashamed to pass it over to anyone. They'd just get themselves into even more debt to fund the contest.

He's a Croatian singer from Sarajevo, he could technically go for Bosnia-Herzegovina as well, he's one of those singers that's pretty much established across all of ex-yu.

I would love to see Eurovision in Sarajevo once, but if they win within the next, let's say 3-5 years, it will be almost impossible to host it there for financial reasons. When the wallet is empty, it's empty.

I know, I am a huge fan of Boris. When he was participating in Jugovizija 1990, he was sent by TV Novi Sad in Serbia. He doesn't think in borders. Nevertheless he once said that he's too old to go on stage again himself, but always open to write a song for someone. It's just that there are just a few songs he ever passed on to others. Danijela Martinovic for example. Or he was writing the lyrics for one (Dora) song of Giuliano. Feminnem is just not his style.

It was empty in 2005. We took a loan and hosted ESC xshrug The host doesn't pay a lot tbh. It's up to EBU and sponsors.

Do NDR/ARD and the city of Düsseldorf know about it? It was a big story, how many millions were spent, I think 25 at least and other TV broadcasts has to be cancelled just because of Eurovision. I mean, it was worth it, fantastic show, but still there was a lot to pay even with sponsors like Henkel or Lufthansa.

Actually I can still imagine ESC in Sarajevo. My favourite café as Eurocafé and they even have one bar which is the inofficial gay bar of Sarajevo. Just in case some gay people are coming from abroad, as nobody is gay in BiH ;)

Re: BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA 2012

^ Each ESC has its own budget... you can spend 25 millions or you can spend 10 and host it on the same level.
So this is the problem of the city of Dusseldorf ;)

"still a lot" doesn't work ...

Those who were worried about B&H's participation in Baku can take a deep breath as BHRT just confirmed that they'll be back.

However they haven't made an announcement or decision on the selection method.

I think we misunderstood each other? I didn't mean for him to write a song for Feminnem, I meant for him to "pull a Feminnem" and represent a different country. I wouldn't mind him writing a song for someone though, but definitely not Feminnem! :)
