I just wanted to start a thread for beer lovers like me. Let's talk about beers we like to drink. And how many cups would you need to get drunk ?

I also prefer cider, especially Loïc Raison (brut), Sommersby (for the summer). I've never tasted Strongbow, I'm gonna look for it :) if I find it over here.

But I occasionaly drink beer too, but I don't have a preference as long as it's not a pils or a lager. I like Desperados (French beer with Tequila flavour), a strong Belgian beer (trappist or abbey beer, most of the time 'Leffe') and sometimes a Carlsberg.

I looooove beer! All my friends also love beer, so we drink together (usually beer - sometimes wine - and rarely cider. Cider became quite popular drink in Serbia lately ('Somersby' Cider most common - but for my taste cider is too sweet, I can't drink it much, but my friedns like it more then wine:?)
As for beers - I usually drink domestic 'Jelen' beer (most common), sometimes 'Lav' beer. And most of time I drink it with friends, so we buy big bottles (2l) and share it.
(I think in Balkan countries there r everywhere these big plastic bottles of 2l, in western countires I haven't seen it, but maybe it exists).
I also like blonde(?) beers - 'belo pivo' (wheat beers, also 'Lav' or 'Jelen'), not bad at all....and I absolutely hate non-alcoholic or lemon beer....most horrible things I ever tasted:?
When abroad...I always try to taste local brends of beer:) and not the 'global' ones (those that u can find everywhere).

^Ofcourse!:D
But for sure I haven't tasted even 1% of belgian beers, there r too many kinds! I liked a blonde beer most (but I can't remember its name), trapist beer I remember Chimay and Rochefort (were good, but not my favorite, we don't have trapist here, and I'm not used to it), I liked very much Leffe too, there were 2 kinds (although I know Leffe, we have it here, in BE was great cause was less expensive;))....and one other...I don't remember name but it has a strange/funny looking glass with a wooden pedestal, it's cool:D
And I think Jupiler was most common beer in Brussels, at least I got this impression, that everybody drink Jupiler all the time (and I remember the slogan in French 'Les hommes savent pourquoi', it was very funny to see it, because in Serbia, Jelen beer has the same slogan 'Muškarci znaju zašto' (quite sexistic, imo), then I read small letters and realized that both Jupiler and Jelen have same owner, it's a big Brewery that owns many beers in many countries, and obviously use same sexistic slogan:lol: (my female friend even sent them (to Jelen) e-mail about that slogan...long agoxrofl3, they answered, but haven't change the slogan, lol).

Your friend has a big capacity:D
I can't drink 2l bottle alone:oops:
I know some ppl in here who refuse to drink these 2l plastic bottles, they say beer should be drunk from smaller glass bottle, because brown/green plastic 2l was invented for poor customers and they say everywhere in Europe it would be forbidden already (they call it 'crime against beer'), but in Balkans everything goes. In my opinion...it's same...same type of beer tastes same..and 2l is more practical for carrying home then many small glass bottles.

A sexistic slogan indeed! The only person who drinks beer everyday in my family is my grandma hahahaha. They have also another slogan: "Men deserve a break" :D

Jupiler is one of the most popular beers I think, our football league is named after Jupiler. Oh it looks like every beer in the world is owned by Inbev :p.

Well, my definite choose is Efes Pilsen Extra, while watching some sports or hanging at beach at night along with guitar sounds

EFES_Extra.jpg

I've also tasted Leffe series ( blonde, brune ) when my friend had brought them from Belgium, we revelled all the night  and I must say, brune has a very different taste, I advise it to everybody ;)

As for another Belgian one, I prefer Stella Artois ( not as good as leffe though ), you know it's very old but not a special one, easy to drink and tastes a bit light to me

My daddy had brought a case of Kronenbourg 1664 after he came back from Paris, I call it French version of Efes Pilsen

For those who like frothy ones, don't miss Duvel:

And here are my favorites after Efes, Carslberg and Heineken, my dad prefers heineken more and drinks it against me :D

I also like Grolsch, Corona, Tuborg Gold, Beck etc.

My order:

1 - Efes Pilsen
2 - Carlsberg
3 - Heineken

Yes! That's exactly this beer with funny glas and it's funny when drinking as well:D Kwakxcheers
And  @ commercial.
Hmm, also..in Serbia our football league is named after Jelen.:? (InBev is indeed a big player, and another big brewery is present here, dunno its name, but it owns Serbian 'Lav', these 2 r biggest direct competitors in beer market, all other beers r much smaller in Serbia. Especially in my city, 'Belgrade beer' is completely devastated company after some Lithuanian businessman bought it, I think we're only city in Serbia who will lose its local beer completely (Belgrade - BIP), I get always agry when think of it:mad:
One sexist commercial for Jelen beer campus
(I wonder if these girs r really waiting in the campus:lol: It would be a bit weird:?)
