Otherwise it's just putting negative feelings and thoughts out there and lets be honest there are already plenty of that. Just posting : "Oh bad songs", Whats the point of that?
These are just personal opinions and you shouldn't be affected by those. Some write more detailed what they don't like about a song, some just state it. These kind of statements are not just in this thread. ;)

Meanwhile Le Manou surpassed Leez in terms of TikTokViews. I will post the amount of views on friday, day before the showcase and on Sunday day after the showcase. It's maybe not saying all, but its a direction we can look for going into the NF.

Currently views

Grace- 87.5K
LEEZ: 75,8 K
Le Manou: 76K
Lenn: 51,6 K

So far, we can't really state what we don't like about the snippets since they are so short, though.

Personally, I think that Grace's song could turn into a catchy bop - a fun tune to dance along to but it's clearly nothing to write home about.
Leez sounded interesting but it's interesting to see how the whole song evolves.
Lenn sounded and looked amateurish on stage - but again, we just saw a glimpse of his performance.
In my opinion, what we've heard from Le Manou was underwhelming and shockingly bad - and already a bit too repetitive. Like a half-baked produced French track to appeal the masses who liked Indila a decade ago.

All in all, we can't say much - maybe everything I just wrote down in this post will turn out to be wrong and I could change my opinion since the snippets are almost as short as the snippets we got from the Vidbir wildcards but nothing I heard so far "justifies" seeing Belgium on #1.
I would even say that nothing screams even "sure qualifier" so far and I think that most users got the same impression and we are just writing down our thoughts based on short snippets @Deluxenite
We aren't "collectively hating on Belgium" - I think we are just "collectively disappointed" since we expected "winning material" on this forum - the whole songs still might be just fine and even enjoyable...

I've got a soft spot for Belgium, though - they have come up with some really great Eurovision tracks in recent year, imo. Let's just hope that the snippets from Semi 2 will create some hype and will make us feel more excited about Belgium's NF - the snippets from Semi 1 just weren't convincing at all :(

Grace's will probably be a bop indeed. She has performed a few danceroutines during her the voice adventure where she has shown that her vocals are not affected while she is singing. If you're interested to see more you can look it up through YT. She currently is giving me Laura Tesoro vibes and with a likewise performance it will for sure qualify if the song is good.

I disagree on Le Manou. I think it's not to repetitive or bad, but a catchy song so far. She did an interview yesterday on a podcast saying she might perform some kind of DJ-act in the final, although not with so many words. Also her nieces are gonna be her dancers.

Jury for NF will besides Gustaph(ESC 2023), Merol (Dutch Singer-Songwriter, preselections The Netherlands ESC 2023) , Bart Cannaerts (Comedian + Read the points for Belgium in ESC 2023) & Emmilie De Forest exist out of:

- André Vermeulen ( Former VRT-Journalist)
- Els Germonpré (Musiccoördinator VRT)
- Leslie Cable ( Delegationleader for Eurovision at RTBF)
- Stephan Monsieur (President of Eurovisionfanclub)
- Jasper Van Biesen (Songfestival.be)
- Indy Van Cauwenbergh (Choreographer)
- Kim Debrie ( Radiohost @ VRT's Radio 2)
- Anja Daems ( Radiohost @ VRT's Radio 2)
- Laura Govaerts ( Radiohost @ VRT's MNM)
- Imane Boudadi ( Radiohost @ VRT's MNM)
- Nona Van Braeckel ( Radiohost @ VRT's Studio Brussels)

The candidates from this week were all presented in Kim Debrie's talkshow "oh la la" on Radio2. Monday it was Grace, Tuesday Lenn, yesterday Le Manou & Leez. So i'm expecting the same next week. You can listen back to the talkshow through VRT MAX (even if you're not Belgian). VRT allows non-Belgians to listen to their podcasts and radioshows through VRTMAX but not to watch their programs ( you either have to have the Belgian identity or have a residence in Belgium). https://www.vrt.be/vrtmax/tv-gids/radio2/2025-01-15/

Also it's confirmed Monster of Jelle Van Dael is not in Dutch, so no Dutch songs in preselection this year.

Tomorrow at 8.45 PM is the first show. Current TikTokviews:
- Lenn: 90.6K
- Leez: 114,9 K
- Grace:124,5K
- Le Manou: 130,5K

Le Manou seems to be the most popular, at least in terms on TikTokviews. Lenn is currently falling behind.

Unfortunately you cannot watch tomorrow's or next week's show. VRT only allows Belgian citizens or people who have a residence in Belgium to watch their online platform VRT-Max. I'm not sure about the final on 01/2. Maybe they will make an exception.

The only exception are people who live close to the Belgian- The Netherlands border. They can watch through Cabel(All distributors), Sattelite (KPN), Ziggo, Online NL, Canal Digital or NLZIET.

The Full Songs will be released around 9.30 PM next week saturday, after the second show is finished.

Songfestival.be released more info about the show tonight.

Grace will cover Voila (Barbara Parvati), LEEZ will do a cover of Heroes(Mäns Zelmerlöw), Le Manou is going to sing J'aime la vie (Sandra Kim) and Lenn will do a medley of his granddad's two entries Oh, Oh ik heb zorgen & Jennifer Jennings.

Zita Wauters apparently will not co-host but will support the candidates backstage.

I assume nobody's figured out a way how to watch it from outside of Belgium? I hope at least the final will be broadcast for all

Tumblr, mostly.
Grace's song is basically LIKE IT by Zena, but it has a SloMo-like dance break.
