Stephanie her first solo song was in "West-Vlaams". She will probably sing in English or maybe Dutch.MENTISSA![]()

She has been a WANT for several years, and I'm pleased she was good enough to include.
Le Manou is more likely to sing in French than Mentissa is, imo.
Also did the article imply Stephanie might sing in West-Vlaams? lol.
Apparently his grandfather (who placed 7th twice for Belgium) died very early in a car accident. Thats tragic but somehow beautiful that both his song and his grandson are following his footsteps. When I googled them I was amazed by the resemblance, the three men when they were the same age look like the same person in different periods.I am curious about what Lenn Neefs is going to do. There isnt really anything we can base on. The only thing is that he played the lead role as a back-up in the musical Oliver.
Hopefully in Dutch like his grandfather. His Dad ( Günther) is a singer with a rich repertoire too in Dutch songs and some English songs.
pure class!
Songfestival.be has an interview with Grace, Lenn, Le Manou, Leez and Red Sebastian on their website. https://songfestival.be/eurosong-20...en-van-zich-horen-we-hebben-dezelfde-mindset/
Some interesting things:
- Le Manou got proposed to VRT by Willem Vanderstichele who was head of productions of Gustaph. She promised her song will be dansable. It will be in French.
- Lenn Neefs will be performing a "good-feeling" song. So probably up-tempo and catchy. He wants to focus on the staging and choreo.
- Grace's song will be a song about " Being yourself (in life)"
- Mentissa says people will be surprised. She send in two songs, one for her New album, one written for eurovision. VRT selected the one written for her new album. Maybe not in French?
I havent heard that from Mentissa so can't confirm. LEEZ will probably be a english popsong. I think the best chances for a ballade are Red Sebastian and indeed Stephanie. Red Sebastian will sing in 3 octaves, dont know how you do that in an upbeat song.OK so it seems everyone is going for upbeat?
Only Leez, Stefanie and Mentissa could sing ballads.
Most likely, only Stefanie and Mentissa.
Some other people said that Mentissa said on the radio that her song is a dance song but idk.
Euarghhh, why am I allowing myself to be EXCITED for a Belgian selection. Why do I ALWAYS set myself up for disappointment. When will I LEARN.
Every word that I read sounds promising, so you just know VRT will find a new and creative way to fuck everything up somehow.
Yeah, that's the silver lining. Belgium's superpower IS the shit midas touch where they turn golden opportunities into turds, but hopefully two sets of live performances will prove sufficient to expose and cull the unvoteable songs and bad performers.Well to be fair our last NF ended up giving us a pretty good entry and a good result, so I think there are good reasons to be optimistic
