I am curious about what Lenn Neefs is going to do. There isnt really anything we can base on. The only thing is that he played the lead role as a back-up in the musical Oliver.

I am curious about what Lenn Neefs is going to do. There isnt really anything we can base on. The only thing is that he played the lead role as a back-up in the musical Oliver.

Hopefully in Dutch like his grandfather. His Dad ( Günther) is a singer with a rich repertoire too in Dutch songs and some English songs.

Apparently his grandfather (who placed 7th twice for Belgium) died very early in a car accident. Thats tragic but somehow beautiful that both his song and his grandson are following his footsteps. When I googled them I was amazed by the resemblance, the three men when they were the same age look like the same person in different periods.

Jellle Van Dael said today in an interview with newspaper HBVL( Het Belang Van Limburg) that her song will be a dance track she has written herself. No surprise there.

I havent heard that from Mentissa so can't confirm. LEEZ will probably be a english popsong. I think the best chances for a ballade are Red Sebastian and indeed Stephanie. Red Sebastian will sing in 3 octaves, dont know how you do that in an upbeat song.

Shows + final already sold out and will take place in Vilvoorde.

I think VRT will broadcast the shows early january, as the Belgian Music Industry Awards take place 29th january and het gala van de gouden K's (Mias but for artists popular with childeren), as organized by KETNET, VRT's teen/kids sender, will take place 25th january.

Probably shows are gonna be broadcasted 11th and 18th January

Songfestival.be now also has an interview with Stephanie.

She (and SX) apparantely already was approached several times bij VRT to compete in Eurosong.

She wrote her song in collaboration with Jeroen Swinnen which is somtehing to be excited about. She says it won't be a dark song but a song full of positivity and love.

Jeroen Swinnen for example co-wrote Me and My Guitar (Tom Dice) in ESC2010 and is the head of the "Liefde voor Muziek" band at VTM. He has also cowritten many songs of 'DAAN'.

VRT just confirmed the shows will be broadcasted 18th and 25th January. So a week later than i was expecting. The shows are online viewable through the free online platform of VRT- VRT MAX. But i don't know if you can watch from outside Belgium on the platform ( feel free to test). You'll need to register for an account on the website.

There is still no information on the running order of the two shows, i expect it will be released next week. As 10 december is approaching fast.

Well to be fair our last NF ended up giving us a pretty good entry and a good result, so I think there are good reasons to be optimistic

Yeah, that's the silver lining. Belgium's superpower IS the shit midas touch where they turn golden opportunities into turds, but hopefully two sets of live performances will prove sufficient to expose and cull the unvoteable songs and bad performers.

That said, it sounds too good to be true and well... Belgium is the most successful when they're underestimated. Nobody thought Tom Dice, Laura Tesoro and Gustaph would come top ten upon song presentation. All three were considered DoA when selected.

All three then worked their flipping socks off to ensure they did well and absolutely shattered expectations.

When we start at a high, we often trend towards a big fall, and that always has me a bit worried.

Lenn Neefs released a new trailer by VRT on his instagram before VRT did . No confirmation but, If the running order is the same as in the trailer then the shows would be:
First one:

- Stephanie
- Grace

And second:
- Leez
- Red Sebastian
- Jelle Van Dael
- Lenn Neefs

First show seems a bit stronger then.

And some interesting things came up about Le Manou: She participated in the 2nd season of The Voice Belgique(Walloon version), where she stranded in the semi-finals and was in the team of Natasche St. Pierre, who was a participant in Eurovision 2001 for France. On top of that she apparently has been the opening act for Mustii's shows for some time.
