There is a small video with Mustii singing at this page by the way! I hope he isn't going to repeat it for 40 seconds in the actual song...
It is possible that Mustii will come in halfway with his own lines, with the choir continuing in the background.

According to Songfestival Azerbaijan, Mustii's entry is titled "Before the Party's Over"

Must say I never was that hyped for one of our entries beforehand, usually I just go not expecting anything but since we're sending fucking Mustii I have huge expectations

As if often the case, I'm feeling the opposite. I couldn't be less excited if I tried.

Checked out some of his older songs like Blind... I like what I heard, they're rather catchy. And he's already scoring with his name alone, certainly one of the cutest (nick)names in existence

Beste Belgen, dit klinkt veelbelovend:

Ze vinden het leuk?! Dat is een aangename verrassing. Zolang we hun reacties kunnen vertrouwen, natuurlijk.

Non-dutch speakers: There was a listening party in Lokeren today for Belgium's song, and the reactions were positive.

"Before The Party's Over" confirmed as the title btw, with release date for next Tuesday. Mods, I think a title change is in order.

I absolutely love it that the first thing said about the song is that it is "allerminst een inzending waar we ons voor zouden moeten schamen", so iconically Flemish to put it like that.

Sounds promising, quite curious to see what the song will be like. I'm always rooting for a Brussels 2025 (I guess hoping for Antwerp is too much when it's not the VRT hosting).

Reviews praise the song's quality but say it's not an earworm.

Which is a plus in my book. Earworms usually sound cheap and are full of cliched rhymes.

The song leaked few minutes on X but was removed very quickly. I really hope that what i've heard was only a demo because it's very underwhelming, repetitive and very far from the expectations i've had after reading the comments from other people who listened to the song early. It's not bad too but could NQ.

It's still there on X. It's alright, it sounds well produced and the vocal is good but it takes a bit too long to get going and struggles to maintain the energy at the end. The build to the end section is quite good but then when it gets there it overstays its welcome repeating the same thing ('The party is over') a few too many times.

Less bland than Germany or Denmark though.

I like what I heard but the title doesn't match the vibe. The title should be Before the Library Closes

i heard it before it was taken down.

Songfestival.be had me fooled for a day, saying this was a good entry. It is... not. :)

Like... everything Jonathan said checks out except for the song being good."Good" in terms of production, maybe. "Good" in terms of competitive, not quite? It doesn't have a hook, or is catchy or like... commits to anything. It's not a ballad or a dance song or a bounchy pop tune. it goes into those directions mildly and then pivots out of them just as quickly. it's a moody introspective gay anthem that just... goes nowhere because it doesn't commit to a style.

Christ, i cannot believe rtbf gathered up a room of people and made them cheer for a jury pet song in a full televote semi.

NEEDS A STRONG VISUAL ACT INDEED.

It's not bad, nothing for the Belgians to be ashamed of at all. Although it plods along and does absolutely nothing for 2 minutes, which is far too long. Underwhelming & cookie cutter if anything but not bad at all.
