Eurosong is okay. Better than what the snippets implied, not an embarrassment. However, out of the 14 only two could be very successful at ESC imo: Ça m'ennuie pas, and Oceanside. I think T'inquiète, Ooh la la and Rollercoaster qualify too, but here we run into problems.

Ooh la la comes about 7 years too late to be a contender and I'm not sure whether HF has enough rhythm to bring its vibe across.

The people who see merit and value in T'inquiète hallucinate: it simply isn't there. Licking a microphone whilst slurring nonsensical words in a mixture of cursive and Frenglish is pure vocal masturbation. At ESC, the majority of Gala's votes will come from the Albanian and Kosovar diaspora who will care about Robert Aliaj's daughter. That by itself might be enough to reach the final though.

Rollercoaster is the typical "qualify in 9th-10th, finish 19th overall" entry Belgium have delivered in the past two years so watch it win.

In conclusion: CHÉRINE SQUAD, ASSEMBLE AND DESTROY [njdevil's dreams].

Yeah it's this. The decision was an emotional one, not a rational one. I get it, like I do, I really do, but man, you're in a comp, pick according to the comp?

As an aside Mon Étoile was about the recent deaths of Chérine's father AND uncle. She still went with Ça m'ennuie pas.

I like Gala a lot and will support her if she wins.
But Cherine deserves this in my opinion.
Her song is extremely catchy and will stand out. It would be our best chance to get a good result in Liverpool.

Death slots are for long competitions, not for 7 songs competitions. 7 songs come and go as fast as a wink of an eye... performing first or last when there is half an hour between the two doesn't make any difference

Yeah but sometimes with a running order, you can guess who is the organizers' choice and who they want to win.

I think she'll get a better ranking in semi-final since it's 100% televote

But if Gala qualifies to final I feel like it has big jury appeal and can do better in final

Yeah that's the big question am asking myself, I think with a good staging and performance she can make it, but I don't trust our broadcaster for stagings xD
