Gustaph got a ton of hate early on the season largely due to not being the initial favorite to win the NF. I didnt follow this NF closely and only saw the final, and I thought his vocals were some of the best in that selection and, eventually, of the year. The song is a catchy 90s house number, which I am biased towards.

I'm glad the votes "vindicated" him so to speak, proving that he deserved his spot in Eurovision. Great voice, song/theme-appropriate staging and camera angles, and great message that speaks to the heart of the contest as well.

This went from me being like "why did this win eurosong" to "I GET IT" this season :D

He absolutely smashed his performance in the final and his 7th place was well deserved-very catchy song, and a strong performance. I noticed alot of casuals also loving this. Huge congrats to Gustaph-and some 12 points to him too!
Same here. Still not a huge fan of song, but the performance was great and he seemed so lovable, I'm really glad he did good. 🌞

I was one of the first to see this staging in full. During the first 10-20 seconds I thought we were headed for a disaster. With the silhouette and stairs, I thought that this guy thinks way too much of himself. The audacity! Who does he think he is?!

How wrong was I.

This song was one of the greatest triumphs of the entire night. Gustaph oozes charisma but has vulnerability at the same time. You root for him, you want him to do well, but at the same time he's a master of his craft; totally effortless.

He takes an ok but not great song and turns it into a virtuoso performance, and he really makes us all believe that we, too, can do it, whatever the "it" may be.

Remember when they tried to break us?
Well, look at us now

The entire performance was a big **** you to the haters, but delivered in the most gracious, gentle, lovable way possible. As if he was telling that the haters, too, can do it, you just have to stop hating and start to believe.

I hope this man has a long and successful career. He deserves it all.

This had to be the underdog story of the ESC season this year. People wrote Gustaph off during the Belgian final, then they predicted he wouldn't qualify after he won, and then there was the heckling during his performance at the Barcelona pre-party. Then he gets to Liverpool and brings the house down with his performances... and gets a top 10 for his efforts (the first top 10 for Belgium since 2017)! He reminds me of Sam Ryder last year, just oozing positivity and embracing the Eurovision experience. I'm glad to have voted for him!

Absolutely a great way to word it!

I'll admit, I wasn't sure when he first won, I was rooting for Gala, but honestly, just seeing how happy he was and how much he was enjoying it all just won me over completely. Gustaph really did have the time of his life there!

I just started following Gustaph on Instagram, and found out that his song went gold in Belgium - they presented him with the award during his appearance at the Eurovision Village

Ahhhh i saw that!! So well deserved :)

I knew that this song had a real "UK" sound to it, and should do well with the Brits, and Top 5 in both jury and televoting proved me right xup

Some extreme disparities between jury and televoters here as well with Georgia of particular note. Love those graphics xup

I'm not surprised it went down well here in the UK I agree-quite a few casual viewers I know liked it!

Anyway, Gustaph is in France with Monika and La Zarra! Missed one another too much I guess
