Re: BELARUS 2012

YAYYYY... My wish was come true.. if he back, Belarus are betting heavily to the victory, but i guess if he will back with the producers of Work your Magic...??

I hope they send someone else... but it seems we're up for a Dima Bilan case here (ironically with a Dima Bilan copy).

I don't thing that Dima K is a copy & paste of Bilan, in fact Dima K is much more fresh & his songs are rather interesant than Bilan ones.

Well he is not a "copy copy" but he reminds me of Bilan for some reason, and if he'd enter Eurovision again it would even more.

I guess I just prefer a new face on ESC stage... I didn't like his previous entry either so that could be part of the reason.

Hmmmm its nice song and could probably do well...

Not my style tho... Lacks the likeability and power of "I Love Belarus" and "Born in Byelorussia"

Re: BELARUS 2012

Dmitry Baranov and Anastasia Tikhonovich, the producers of the project “EuroFest”, gave answers to numerous questions from the BTRC’ users. The rules of the national qualifying round have not changed and in compliance with the international format, therefore the songs entered cannot be longer than three minutes, and no more than six people can be on-stage during the performance. The only thing that has changed for this year’s festival is the age requirement – from this year onwards the age minimum will be 16 instead of the previous requirement of 18 years old.

Applications are being accepted from both performers and songwriters. However, songwriters so far have submitted more entries for “EuroFest” than performers. Musicians from Belarus, Portugal, Belgium, Malta, Israel and Russia have already submitted their works for the contest. The sponsors will select an international team for the finalist. Internet users are suggesting Filipp Kirkorov to be the producer of the 2012 entrant. The BTRC website also asked the users for their opinion on the potential entrant. Users suggested that this year’s Slavonic Bazar finalist Elena Lanskaya, Serega, “Topless” band and Guinesh should be among the candidates.

The list of the participants will be published after all applications are recieved and the 15 best performers will take part in the semi-finals on 21st of December 2011.

Belarussian band Litesound are back to the country's Eurovision scene. They are reported to have applied for EuroFest 2012, marking their sixth attempt to represent Belarus in the contest. Besides that, the first entries entering the preliminary stage of EuroFest have been published online.

Re: BELARUS 2012

imo, Lanskaya will be the winner... very big sponsorship + Slavic Bazar + being a "fave".

She's just become the youngest People's Artist of Belarus so....

I think so, too! I don't know why many Belorussians don't like this idea to sent her to ESC.. She's not the worst, I'm sure! :)

Re: BELARUS 2012

Is this girl Lanskaya? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ7mwU3O7rM&feature=related

If yes she is VERY GOOD!!! I like her... Beautiful girl and she seems to have a very strong voice....

 @ the strong voice comment when refering to a playback clip.

The song in the clip seems like a weak mix between Julia Savicheva and t.A.T.u.

Anyways she's beautiful and with the right song why not?

I'm just afraid Belarus never learned their lesson though and send yet another one with broken English. I would SO want to hear Belarussian.. !!
