Re: BELARUS 2012
Dmitry Baranov and Anastasia Tikhonovich, the producers of the project “EuroFest”, gave answers to numerous questions from the BTRC’ users. The rules of the national qualifying round have not changed and in compliance with the international format, therefore the songs entered cannot be longer than three minutes, and no more than six people can be on-stage during the performance. The only thing that has changed for this year’s festival is the age requirement – from this year onwards the age minimum will be 16 instead of the previous requirement of 18 years old.
Applications are being accepted from both performers and songwriters. However, songwriters so far have submitted more entries for “EuroFest” than performers. Musicians from Belarus, Portugal, Belgium, Malta, Israel and Russia have already submitted their works for the contest. The sponsors will select an international team for the finalist. Internet users are suggesting Filipp Kirkorov to be the producer of the 2012 entrant. The BTRC website also asked the users for their opinion on the potential entrant. Users suggested that this year’s Slavonic Bazar finalist Elena Lanskaya, Serega, “Topless” band and Guinesh should be among the candidates.
The list of the participants will be published after all applications are recieved and the 15 best performers will take part in the semi-finals on 21st of December 2011.
