Song is not out yet so I may be jumping to the conclusion too early, but it feels like İTV has lost its ambition to do actually good in this contest

Do they? She wouldn't have made the top if they hated her.
They gave her the most boring song ever in 2018 and she deserved redemption, now they pulled the rug under her feet

Or they prefered Fahree, returning artists shouldn't be given special treatment even if they nqd the first time, as for cross my heart didn't it come 11th in what fans recognise to be the most competitive semi ever, I don't think Azerbaijan let her down

Yeah ... they. Ictamai TV. Wasn't there some internal voting and he wasn't top 2? Smells corrupt

This change interesting, still. Fahree seems like a small indie artist. I wonder if Azerbaijan have selected one of his songs or... they have given him a Swedish fish.

According to this, he submitted his own song.

Not Azerbaijan decides to throw us a curve-ball. Hopefully, it's not another 2022. I wouldn't mind a 2019 though.

The LQ-snippet posted on FB sounded quite mediocre, tbh.

It will be an "uplifting" song - it sounds like a contemporary pop song but honestly, the quality was so bad I wasn't even able to tell in which language the song has been recorded.
The chorus includes a longer instrumental part.

I read somewhere that it'll be in Azeri so at least there's that.

The song is about "always coming back to the mother land".
A "strange" line to pass the EBU-headquarters upon the aftermath of gaining Karabakh back if you ask me...
Karabakh is an internationally recognised Azerbaijani territory. There is not a single country that would recognise independence of Karabakh and its fake referendum. Armenia occupied not only Karabakh but 7 regions around Karabakh and made from it "NKR" by ethnically cleansing more than 700 000 Azerbaijanies from those lands with the help of Russia. No need to be biased here. If we support territorial integrity of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, why can't we support territorial integrity of Azerbaijan?

No need to talk about politics here without even hearing the song.

It's a forum - it exists to discuss things and what we already know about :az: is that piece/line of lyrics.
(It's normal for us fans to discuss snippets, fragments of lyrics, tiny bits of outfits - whatever gets leaked online or shared online by the artists themselves).

What you said is true/valid, though - but it doesn't take away from the fact that such line could be read/perceived as politically motivated and it's strange for the EBU to (allegedly) allow that line whilst :il: can't sing about "dancing", for example.

I'm curious to hear the full song, though. - Maybe that line will sound less politically loaded within the whole song.
