Of course she will qualify, there are no doubts about that. The question here is does she deserve to qualify.

You said the same thing last time to which I relpied that it is a highly subjective question. There is no such a thing as ''to deserve''. You either qualify or you don't. There is no measure of standard for ''deserving to qualify''.

If somebody is out of tune, they don't deserve to qualify. This is still a song contest.
Being in tune is not subjective, it can be measured. And Samra isn't in the tune. I don't have the time to count how much notes she missed but I'm sure they are a lot.

Seriously, if the song is too high for her (nothing shameful), she could just lower it down a little.

Ok, your measure of an entry deserving to qualify is being in tune. That I can accept. However there is NO standard of measure for ''deserving to qualify'' in this contest. Once an entry is qualified it is qualified. Once an entry wins it is the rightful winner. You may think something didn't deserve to qualify and another person may think it did. Hence the reason I called it subjective.

There are actually 4-5 factors which are judged. It is a complex rating that includes singing in tune. Of course, that's not the only important thing but it's still important. You say that it's subjective but I tend to disagree with that statement.

No, as I said I find the term ''to deserve'' highly subjective. I know there are many factors involved and that's why we have the jury + televote system to help us with that.

Well, if she doesn't cover the factors to a good level, she obviously doesn't deserve to qualify.

No such a thing as ''obviously''. Obviously to you, not obviously to me. Mind you, I'm just saying that to make a point. I haven't made a decision yet. I'll wait it off

I will wait for her semi-final performance too. This is just a rehearsal after all.

Samra is asking to her followers which outfit she should wear on the live shows/jury rehearsals.(с)

^ She works both outfits, however, I think that the golden one looks better on her. She looks more confident in it. The white one looks too Beyonce-y like (specially with that skirt-type-of-thing) and kinda slutty compared to her pretty and innocent face (at least in the pictures).
However, the white one looks more expensive than the golden one.

I see the styling of the backing vocalists/dancers as problematic and it should be changed.

The white one is too trashy. Definitely the golden one.

The golden outfit is for sure the right one to pick. Samra looks beautiful with it on.

The rehearsals today made me a bit sad. This is the first time i've gotten behind an Azerbaijani uptempo number (enjoyed only Sabina and Dilara previously) but it looks like it could very well have an unhappy ending. Vocals don't have to be perfect but her singing will put a lot of potential voters off. The jury will place this at the bottom across the board. Just look what happened with Albania last year. A well liked and respected song that vocally was extremely poor live and faced the consequences for it, despite still decent support from the public. This is a strong semi. Near enough all the countries are on point.

On a positive note I must say I like how the performance looks visually. The pyrotechnics are pretty cool and bring the song alive. I hope Samra can pull it together and prove those of us wrong who are now starting to doubt the songs chances.

Horrible confession: I didn't actually find her vocal that bad today. At least not the massive train wreck that the general reception seems to have found it. My grand worry is that she seemed very in her head in terms of her presence, which got me very worried that she's reading what people are writing about her. If she does that this time around, lord help the poor woman. In all seriousness, the drop in confidence took away the sass that was this song's saving grace in my mind, and being too tentative to communicate the story is indeed a problem.
