If the odds won't shift in our favour, we are destined to open the Grand Final, or worse, the 2nd half of GF. At least 2nd or 3rd spot in the running order are out of discussion lol

I would argue that Cesar Sampson was also robbed by the bookmakers in the GF. He lost a hefty amount of televotes between semis and GF.
Our odd history is quite odd and between 2014 and 2018, we outperformed by a lot.
But maybe Italian executive producers have some love for Gabry Ponte and Lumix.

I dont understand why so many say it is repetitive. It has many different parts, I dont see it repetitive at all.
Now I have a clearer picture how the staging could be, of course it wont be like in the video. But we can be quite sure that the dominating colour on stage will be red. It is a good thing that there still are concerns about the live qualities of Pia Marias voice. Because she will prove that she can sing and a surprise in the rehearsals week is always a good thing.

The first part of the song (verses and the chorus) and the second part of the song (verses and chorus) are like exact copy-and-paste in terms of how they sound, which makes it sound quite repetitive.

It's a nice uptempo tune but the lack of noticeable changes in the melody kind of make it less impactful.

I get what you mean. But i think the "bridge" when the instrumental drops before the last chorus (the Part with the "clapping") switches it up a bit and really gives it a different direction, if only for a short time.
Other than that i think its short and sweet and fun and some other Songs seem muuuch longer than they are this year

Austria this year comes to Turin with sharp nails and a hunger for victory. While I have some possible doubts about the vote of the juries, I believe that televoting will be very satisfactory. The first opponent to beat for Austria is the Czech Republic because the songs have a Disco / Dance component. The second and more difficult obstacle are France which has a slight catchy affinity and Norway with its particular joke entries. These are the important obstacles to overcome before aiming for the top of the standings. Fans of these 4 songs will battle. We have a nice "catchy bubble" in front of us. As a DJ music lover and expert, my only fear of "Halo" is that it may age badly over time. I don't see all this epic that many fans feel in the air. "Halo" is strong ok but it tastes like a song for the summer. Another thing that did not convince me is the lack of nuances of the song that makes it a little repetitive where instead "Lights Off" only manages to give the best of itself in the moment of the singer's scream, in her climax so to speak. Tracks at the antipodes, strong but with some shortcomings. Personally, with all due respect, I say that France and Norway are superior because they are more complete and will continue to fascinate and entertain over time. Will "Halo" enter my Top 10? I still have to think about it ... I have France and Norway and I also add Ukraine and Spain with important sounds ... I don't know. I'll let time and continuous listening to "Halo" clear my head.
