I almost suspected that. I only heard him once with an original song of his a few years ago and at that time I thought "Wow, how dated!"
I saw him mostley in musicals and he is a regular singer of the ORF "Dancing Stars" orchestra.

Once I had a fun experience in a musical theater in Vienna. The theater was rather empty. My companions and I almost felt like we were in a private performance. He played the leading role and he almost sang his heart out, as if his life depended on it. It was really fascinating.

LOL! It's OK. No one is expected to know every country's flag. I sometimes get confused too. No biggie.
By the way, the full flag is covered. It's a white crescent moon with 5 white stars.

The thing is that I never even gave attention to the little stars, I always saw the Polish flag (but inverted now I know haha).

Drew Sarich also is a great rock singer. But I would not like to see him at Eurovision.

The song is really good, but the live/overall presentation of the song was not memorable if I am being honest. Plus, 2013 is a strong year. Semi 1 alone has alot of good songs. Plus she is the first to perform, likely to get buried after 15 songs since her staging was simple.

And also you have to consider that those people who compiled the list of favourite Austrian entries are only comparing Austrian entries over the years. It doesn't mean "Shine" was their favourite entry of 2013. They could have voted for other songs in that year as well.

his voice is incredible, i just don't get why he tried with such a bad song.

and i think shine is one of the worst austrian entries we've had. it's just so forgettable. i hate woki mit deim popo but i'd rank shine 2nd to last since austria returned

Lol, I think I need social media detox and to focus on positive things and my faves. I still wished him good luck. Nobody hates him,but also he should learn that in this business not everyone will love him. It depends how he projects himself.

You know how little children are: screaming around things they don't understand themselves just to get attention. For instance, that 7379 likes against 1049 dislikes equals 87,55% positive reactions, not 99,9% negative reactions. But you know, maths is sometimes really difficult for kids. Let them have their tantrum, smile at them, pat their head to calm them a bit and then turn over to serious conversation with grown-ups again.

Austria is doing 100% shameless Jurybaiting without giving a single Damn about the Televoters, but in the End it wil pay off. I expect a 19 Result (although both Songs have nothing in Common of course).
