Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

If they go to Tel Aviv, they should add some backing vocals to make the vocals sound stronger imo

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

I really don't get the Sheppard hype. Very plain and generic. Sounds like a number of different songs that have competed in ESC and all had a mediocre finish

1. Electric Fields
2. Courtney Act
3. Leea Nanos
4. Aydan
5. Ella Hooper
6. Mark Vincent
7. Sheppard

What is he wearing #cringe. I don't really like the staging and their outfits are hilarious. If they win, they really need to work on their performance. The song is the best so far though. This could be a global hit.

1. 2000 and Whatever
2. On My Way
3. Fight for Love
4. Data Dust
5. This Is Not the End
6. Set Me Free
7. Dust

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

Sheppard is good, but the backings come from the tape, and their voices are not anthemic and strong enough to give it its power. So I hope they dont win, even though I like that song.

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

Sheppard - lively and competent, but I'd still rather send something a little less middle-of-the-road. Also, to copy-paste a friend's comment from somewhere else: "these guys look like they could talk to you 10 years straight about the best place to get a soy milk latte in prahran"

1. Mark Vincent
2. Electric Fields
3. Sheppard
4. Leea Nanos
5. Courtney Act
6. Aydan
7. Ella Hooper

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

But there's just George and Amy singing, and Emma as backup while the rest of the band basically does nothing as they don't really play on their instruments?

That’s pretty much the fate for every single band that goes to Eurovision

Tumblr, mostly.
Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

I think the song is kind of stupid and repetitive, but whatever it doesn't offend.

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

(Almost) only girls in the front row.... you don´t have this often in an Eurovision event.
"To myself" is a nice song, but there are better ones tonight.

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

I don't know if he's trying to go for the emotional hit, but the only emotion I feel is boredom in truth... Unremarkable.

Re: AUSTRALIA 2019

Alfie is a good singer, but the song is a bore...I just don't care about his gay sob story (and I am gay and understands what he went through).

I never really paid Alfie much attention in the run up to tonight, but he really sold his song there. I wouldn't mind if Australia chose him!
