It's called self-confidence. People always find ways to see something bad in him.

If he was clever he'd be humble though. A quiet, self contained confidence would be better. Declaring that he's looking forward to winning just comes off as arrogance.

Also the fact he's too ignorant to know the English for 'mermaid' comes off badly on him too.

Hahahaha

Tbh, he probably will win this year, "Not Alone" has got the hype this year like "Only Teardrops" and "Euphoria" had before.

Am I the only one who find this song boring and the fact that it's considered "winner material" is beyond me?

Many countries have been hyped this year though including Sweden, Hungary and the United Kingdom. Then others like Norway, Austria and Israel are held in quite high regard. This year could potentially be the first close contest we have had in a while. "Euphoria" certainly had a lot more hype around it (the greatest ever in fact) and "Only Teardrops" was a more palatable song than "Not Alone". So Aram really shouldn't be so cocky. Nothing is certain.

It's a solid song and every year it's the solid song that gets the hype around it. The song is nothing extraordinary but it's decent with a nice orchestral buildup.

Nah, Armenia has this in the bag this year. This isn't "Sognu" all over again, "Sognu" failed because the French delegation messed up the presentation. "Not Alone" won't suffer the same fate.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like this entry but I understand why this will win.

1) Boring ballad
2) Kinda annoying "you're not alone"
3) Amazing, striking dubstep part

That's how I see it - in my ranking it's something between top 8-12. As many here I don't see a winner in Aram, but top 10 for sure, top 5 - very likely ;p

The difference between Armenia & France is called USSR & Diaspora.

Not now, the new ranking system has helped kill off the diaspora so Belgium and the Netherlands juries could still put Armenia near the bottom like last year but they won't do it this year because this is a jury friendly song.
Armenia will probably sweep all the ex-USSR votes too because it's the best ex-USSR song this year by a distance (although I personally think Azerbaijan song is better).

Exactly.
We have a CLEAR winner this year.
Why?
1)Armenia will take almost all 12 points from ex soviet countries (except Azerbaijan)
2)Armenia will take all 12 points from countries they have diaspora, because their song is also jury friendly.
So,Armenia will win easily.

There is absolutely no way you can be that sure. We haven't even had rehearsals yet. If anything, the closest to a sure thing a UK victory, but I couldn't even call that a certainty. This year is too close to know the winner this early.

I agree with you there, It's boring.
