Why the assumption that Aram's boos were because of the comments he made? Perhaps they were booing because they hate the song, find it boring and couldn't wait for him to leave the stage?

Because Aram was the only one to get booed so your reasoning would mean that out of the ~20 songs that were there, Aram's was the only one that they didn't like. Not likely when you consider the fact that the place was full of Eurovision fans like those who have consistently ranked the song as one of their favourites on all the polls.

But it seems that the booing has backfired on the idiots that were doing it. On the YouTube channel I am watching the videos on, Aram has the most views of anyone, more than 20 times as many views as some of the other acts.

Well as far as I can say, being lgbt and all.. It doesn't really matter what he meant, to me the damage is already done. *sigh*

How some people could boo someone who is performing on a stage is really beyond me. ANYONE.

His performance was flawless and this silly thing makes me want to support him even more and I'm sure I'm not the only one. He is not alone!!!

I hope the "tolerance" hypocrites will have their hateful and childish attitude backfire on them, and push Aram to win the whole thing so they can sit there in their bitterness and hatred for a whole year and sulk.

What people don't understand is that working in the entertainment industry comes with a price. If you're going to say something which could be deemed as discriminative, then you have to pay that price. That's the downside of working in the entertainment industry, I guess. If you come off as discriminative in any way, then you're at risk of tarnishing your public image and not being hired by studios because they don't want their name being dragged through the mud. Now that his little comments have technically gone viral, it won't stop commentators talking about the controversy. I mean if Aram makes the final (which he most likely will), then there is a high chance of his remarks re-surfacing during the postcards and I'm sure that would turn people off. I genuinely don't feel sorry for him. Does it suck? Yes! But if you're in the spotlight, then you have to think before you speak. Backlash is a bitch. It doesn't matter how much damage control your PR can do; your comments can always find a way to bite you in the ass -- whether it was a joke or not. He's lucky that he's not a Hollywood celebrity... his career would have been over within seconds.

Wow, simply wow! Even high profile comedians know that there are certain boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. This is just tasteless!! He genuinely deserves the negative publicity for his poor behaviour. No amount of excuses from his fans is going to save him...

I was thinking that. But really he should have known the backlash this would get after the whole Conchita scenario. It's like he doesn't want to win.

Well he certainly didn't xcrazy I guess he thought people would get it. Do you really think he would disguise as the responsible for the biggest genocide ever being Armenia a country that suffered a huge killing of its people?
We can't know for sure of course but I'm not buying the whole Anti-Aram campain that's going on these days.

Please, what's the problem with that picture??? If he would like to play an evil role, obviously he's not gonna post himself dressed as Mary Poppins...

Seriously, all the haters should move on and GET A LIFE.

I'm so over this whole "scandal". You'd think he murdered someone by some of the reaction. He said some dumb things about someone else. He apologized. He made up with that person. Lets move on, no?

wow I'm impressed by the awesome manners from some people who always complain and feel quite offended by Aram. Quite incoherent and regrettable they don't apply the same thing for themselves
