I respect different opinions. You obviously don’t. Merry Christmas!
If you read carefully what I've written in the past messages you'll notice that I respected your opinion saying that we are a community with different backgrounds and tastes.
Obviously when you called the part of the community that liked this song "Cliche Eurofans" I reacted to that definition by explaining why you're wrong.
That's it.
Merry Christmas to you too.

I could be wrong, but doesn't Albania always get quite a lot of positive reactions from Eurovision fans - more than the results in the later stages justify? I used to think that it was because of the typical ethnic Balkan sounds, but perhaps it also has a lot to do with the Albanians being among the first ones to put something out. The Eurovision fans have been desperately waiting for something, and their initial joy is reflected in (too) high points.
I don't think so... Last year with Besa Kokhedima whose song was far from special, there wasn't this hype at all. In fact, she did not win FiK, unlike Shkodra Elektronike.

But hey, it's all a matter of taste, hope they slightly revamp the song while keeping the dark vibes and please, no English translation. With the right staging and a magnetic performance (even more than the FiK one) Albania has the chance to leave the right hand side of the scoreboard in the final for the first time since 2018.

I think it depends on how you define the word. I do think the song has many changes throughout, as you mention. On the other hand, there is also a lack of melodic highlights, and that could give many people a feeling of monotony.
I agree with everything you wrote but just one fact. Melodic Highlights does mean also singing with a baritone voice as the male counterpart does. That part is a very important change of the register and in "per se" is a highlight because we're going from a mezzo-soprano voice (she) to a baritone voice (he)

Ok, now I finally listened to :al: entry for 2025. :)

I highly appreciate that the country isn´t sending a dramatic ballad again but somethin that has at least some drive behind it. I really like the stage presence of the female singer, her voice is ok but I don´t know if I could listen to a full album with her voice. But that´s a matter of taste.

My main problem with the song is the male part here, this "rhythmic talking" (doesn´t count as singing to me) kinda disrupts the flow of the song in my opinion. His looks into the camera are also rather on the disturbing side for me, so he should definitely work on that. And generally I kinda miss some "wow factor" in the melody, it stays a bit too much on the same level. 😐

In the end I give "Zjerm" a solid :7:, it´s totally alright and has some potential but there´s simply something missing forme to give it a higher ranking. I can see this reaching the final if they don´t destroy it with a revamp (guess it will stay in Albanian, they don´t appear like they´re eager to sin in English) and if the allocation draw is kind to them.

I love the singing part, though at times she was a bit struggling at the end of some musical phrases. (maybe just because she was nervous, could be very good even the very next time she sings it). The spoken part does nothing for me - it's even a bit annoying. I researched the lyrics but "only" got a google translation, so I'm not sure if that conveys really well what the song is about. This might grow on me in the future, but at the moment ist "just" ok. I'm glad though that Albania tries something new. :6: to :7: for the moment.

:12: from me - the song ticks all boxes for me: ethnic, authentic, slightly detached, a foreign language, real instruments

I'm a bit worried about the live performance of the speaking part, though - it needs to hit harder - I just hope that they revamp it a bit and make it punchier and a bit more dramatic but the studio version is divine.
This song will probably end up being part of my Top 10 or even Top 5/3 in the end - depending on Albania's revamp, of course.

I just hope they'll give it the "Duje" treatment and less "Titan" vibes.

Hmm, blending traditional sounds with experimental chaos is a great combination on paper. The song has an undeniable charm, thanks to its raw and unfiltered energy, but it reaches a point where I wonder if they just decided to throw every idea they had into the mix. This “kitchen sink” approach creates a sense of unpredictability—sometimes thrilling, other times uneasy. The male vocals are just...no. What are you doing, no.

Overall, I think it's trying to be too many things at once - and while I appreciate that Albania is doing something different - it's not an entry I'm gonna be super excited about this season.
