Belarus jury not giving a single point to Russia was a WTF moment. I wonder what could have happened.

yeah i want to know what they have done with the belarusian jury points. it wasn't a repeat of the televote points, it wasn't an average of surrounding countries... what was that? ehy did israel conveniently get 12 points when they otherwise would finish with nothing? questions, questions.

also, obligatory contempt at the sweden situation. at least they got dunked by the televote again. not as much as cesar and benjamin but having it happen right at the ending was good. get wrecked, björkman.

The only reason for jury vote is so that we can get a balanced view from each countries music experts so that countries don't just vote strategally or for their nearest neighbours. I can't see that it has been even close to functioning like that. Get rid of them.

Their jury was disqualified for revealing how they voted in the semi final. Now, however the hell they calculated their fake substitute votes I have no clue

IMO we need the juries more as a precautionary thing to not let Trashvision of the 2000s happen again. It's true that their voting can be weird and off though. Glad they gave Sweden and North Macedonia some recognition. Televoting obviously has its flaws too, we've been there before. San Marino honestly didn't deserve a single point if we're honest, his singing was atrocious although I love them lol.

I watched the show tonight with my Mother and I was guessing the 12s as they were being called. The amount of times she had to congratulate me was astonishing. Actually the only time I was truly shocked tonight was when I called 12 for Russia from Belarus, forgetting they had gone done messed up their jury votes with their shenanigans. On the one hand I can’t hate too hard as jury voters gave Macedonia their best result tonight, and it was the only song in this final that reached my heart. On the other they totally messed up Norway, who were the public’s winner. It was very sad to watch, and it feels unfair. I don’t think we’ll ever have another pure fun song like Spirit in the Sky win Eurovision again, unless it comes packaged with some flavour of the month political message.

btw yet another year Azerbaijan and Armenia giving each other unanimously the last place in their jury panel.
Why EBU has not done anything? Their juries should be DQ imo, it's too much "coincidence" every year.

All Moldovan Jury Members had Romania as #1.
I have nothing against giving 12 Points to a Neighbour when hes a Topfav, like the finnish and danish Jury did to Sweden, or the Juries from Russia and Azerbaijan who exchanged 12s, but this is ridiculous though predictable.

For real? They all voted for one of the universally agreed worst songs in the competition?

I thought juries were supposed to get rid of block voting...

Time to get rid of juries again i say as they are clearly not in touch with public tastes.

The serbian juries were in touch with their publics taste.

And again who said we need juries? I don't think I need to say much more right?

:pt: Dead last in its semi? :pl: Blocked from qualification again? Not even qualifying? The banality of :mk: winning its semi and nearly winning the final? The continuous killing of all local and interesting entries in favor of safe Pop in English? and :is: Completely downgraded in the final? Political votes for :ru: , and :se: overestimated again (although not so bad this time) , the continous neighboring :12: points exchanges on the jury side.

And people say these people are "experts" ? ... please spare me from such "experts" another year xpuke

Tumblr, mostly.
i'm okay with john winnng the jury vote this time because 1) I thought he slapped lol 2) he was only a HANDFUL of points ahead of *MACEDONIA* 3) the jury vote was scattered evenly, meaning there was no runaway winner like last year.

I'll try to gather my thoughts once I have enough caffeine flowing through my veins to make sense of these results, but my feelings on juries have always been mixed. The jury system needs an overhaul and has desperately needed one ever since its implementation.

Once again the juries, who were supposed to prevent bloc voting, were the ones most biased...

And they often are... if people still believe these people are actual "experts"... well ok then

Did Tamara deserve all that jury love after getting 10th place in semi-final 2 and still not qualifying through a weird, secret rule? Absolutely

For all the Haters: Most Countries who got 12 from their Neighbours ended up either in the Juries or the Televoter Top5, so noone can claim these were unfair Blocvotes.

Anyway, the Juries did some good things. :hu:s Juryresult f.e. in the Opposite to the Televoters or Preventing :sm: from Top10 and trying to prevent them from Qualifying. Not to forgot :lt:s Juryvote
