Oh I see, it's a game where you directly compare, for example, the UK's 2011 ESC entry v the UK's 2012 ESC entry and say which one you preferred. I'd have to listen to my 2011 and 2012 CDs again and decide which I prefer out of 2011 or 2012 for each country. Mind you, weren't there some countries that participated in 2011, but not 2012, and vice versa?
For now I'll do a few bits of 2011 v 2012 trivia.
Jedward represented Ireland in 2011 (Lipstick) and 2012 (Waterline) - both were really lively songs you would want to dance along to, i.e. what I call adult kids' Boogie Beebies big videos.
Both 2011 and 2012 had plenty more "adult kids' Boogie Beebies big videos" - lively songs with dance routines one would want to join in and copy from several countries.
2011 and 2012 both had an adult kids' version of the
CBeebies Goodnight Song (sorry if non-UK readers don't know what I mean by that). The 2011 one Azerbaijan - "Running Scared" (Ell/Nikki) won the 2011 ESC, whereas the 2012 one Portugal "Vida Minha" (Filipa Sousa) failed to qualify.
The UK entered a lively power ballad "I Can" (Blue) in 2011, and a gentle ballad "Love Will Set You Free" (Engelbert Humperdinck) in 2012. Due to the different song styles, kind of like comparing chalk and cheese, it's difficult to say which one I prefer.
Both years Georgia entered songs I really detested: 2011 Eldrine "One More Day" which I felt shouldn't have reached the final but did, and worse still finished 9th in the final; 2012 Anri Jokhadze "I'm A Joker" which thankfully failed to reach the final.
Azerbaijan won with just 43.8% of the maximum possible score (504) in 2011, whereas Sweden won with 75.6% of the maximum possible score (492) in 2012.
