NSC 72

Something in the same style as Gorgeous Nightmare (but better imo), for those who were disappointed to see them come second in the NSC 70 NF :p

Re: Halito's topic: The Drug In Me Is You

Oopsie, just noticed i didn't actually present my song for NSC 73 here...so here it is:

NSC 73

Okayyy, so you've already heard this, but anyway, let's pretend the edition hasn't happened yet :D

To NSC 73 Halito will be sending the awesomeness that is Camera Obscura!
Hailing from Scotland, this band believes they're just what's needed in order to make Halito's entries more balanced and representative of the current musical trends in the country.
I am proud to present this lovely little number, French Navy!

Re: Halito's topic: WARNING: Don't Feed The Robot

NSC 74

So, Halito has reached 65 editions, which isn't exactly a milestone, but it ends in 5, so imma call it one because i want this entry to be a milestone entry.

This edition, to celebrate the "milestone", i will be shamelessly promoting a band consisting of students at my university :D

They're awesome, and they've just released their first music video, so this is the perfect time to showcase their talents!!
I actually know one of them fairly well, so i'm excited to see how this does :p (The one i know is the first scientist you see in the video; there's a close-up of him at 0:04)

They're called Don't Feed The Robot, and the song is Either Way, i hope you like them! :D

NSC 75

Being whimsical is fun, so on a spur of the moment decision, Halito has decided to enter the American indie-rock-electronica group Brite Futures, with the song Sophisticated Side Ponytail :D

A little bit of trivia: they used to be called Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, named after her appearance in the film V For Vendetta    Such a shame they changed it xD

Re: Halito's topic: I lost.

NSC 76

Love spells and illusions, both games i'll never win...

This edition, Halito is entering the song Love Spell by The Attraction. As you may know, Eyes Set to Kill is the only band Halito has entered more than once. Well, it so happens that the lead singer of The Attraction is Lindsey Vogt, the former lead singer of Eyes Set to Kill (albeit a looong time ago - it's about 4 years since she left). I have since been following The Attraction...and well, here is their best song imo. I've been wanting to enter it for a while, but i've always had other songs to send. Hope you like it :p

Re: Halito's topic: ℕ∫ℂ 77 (Warning: Contains maths)

ℕ∫ℂ 77

First of all, i'd like to say i'm very impressed that the forum actually supports all these symbols

Now let's get back to the song representing Halito in NSC 77 :D Yes, it's a maths song, and yes, i know that very few people will understand many of the puns, but hopefully there'll be enough understanding for it to have been worth it  I think the lyrics are genius myself :p And even if you don't really get the lyrics, i hope you enjoy the music :D
I present to you...

The Klein Four - Finite Simple Group (of Order Two)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BipvGD-LCjU

And here are the lyrics:

The path of love is never smooth
But mine's continuous for you
You're the upper bound in the chains of my heart
You're my Axiom of Choice, you know it's true

But lately our relation's not so well-defined
And I just can't function without you
I'll prove my proposition and I'm sure you'll find
We're a finite simple group of order two

I'm losing my identity
I'm getting tensor every day
And without loss of generality
I will assume that you feel the same way

Since every time I see you, you just quotient out
The faithful image that I map into
But when we're one-to-one you'll see what I'm about
'Cause we're a finite simple group of order two

Our equivalence was stable,
A principal love bundle sitting deep inside
But then you drove a wedge between our two-forms
Now everything is so complexified

When we first met, we simply connected
My heart was open but too dense
Our system was already directed
To have a finite limit, in some sense

I'm living in the kernel of a rank-one map
From my domain, its image looks so blue,
'Cause all I see are zeroes, it's a cruel trap
But we're a finite simple group of order two

I'm not the smoothest operator in my class,
But we're a mirror pair, me and you,
So let's apply forgetful functors to the past
And be a finite simple group, a finite simple group,
Let's be a finite simple group of order two
(Oughter: "Why not three?")

I've proved my proposition now, as you can see,
So let's both be associative and free
And by corollary, this shows you and I to be
Purely inseparable. Q. E. D.

Re: Halito's topic: NSC 78 -- letlive.

NSC 78

It's been a while since Halito sent a rock entry, so here goes! :D I found this song quite recently, and haven't been able to stop listening to it :p Not really much background i can give other than that xD

Here ya go:

letlive. - Renegade 86

EDIT: Alright, so my NSC 76 entry could be classified as rock. But it's not proper rock imo xD
