Well,

unpopular opinion, but I think both Slovenia and Portugal have more chances than Belgium and Poland. Do you really think that only one slow song (the Netherlands) will qualify?

And also with Italy, Spain and Switzerland voting...

Better qualifying chances than Poland? Uhm.

Look, you can think of the song whatever you want, but Justyna ain't NQing. She's a big Star in Poland and the Diaspora will show up for her. Plus, she is the only female solo act in all of SF1, and the only other woman we have at all is from the Albanian duo. And yes, I'm pretty sure that will help her. Granted, Switzerland and Spain will perform here, but you cannot vote for them and it's still a very male heavy SF.

And yes, it will help Napa that there are few slower Songs, but they still have to content with Slovenia and the Netherlands (and potentially Cyprus, we do not know yet). And those two are already better IMO. SF1 is reeeeaaaally hard to predict right now, and I think Napa are borderline, but I'd lean towards them NQing and Klemen making it instead.

I honestly think both will make it because IT'S SO LOUD.

Yeah, I'm counting Poland in actually (but it won't be in the top 5).

I currently predict that Iceland, Croatia, San Marino, Azerbaijan and Belgium will be out. And maybe Slovenia.

Not a bad choice by any means and I'm glad it has a little beat to it, but I feel I've heard this all before. I feel we need something different from Portugal, but I guess this is the music scene.

Mhm, I guess I do not find the semi as loud as you do. We have few ballads, but not much that is really up-tempo/loud. There is just a lot of mid-tempo stuff - KAJ or Tommy for example are "fun entries", but I would not count them as loud. That's basically Poland, Iceland, Belgium, Croatia and San Marino to me. And somewhat Spain and Norway.

Right now, if I'd have to guess a shock NQ, it would likely be Estonia (Though I like Espresso Macchiato more than most I think lol). KAJ are just really bad news for Tommy IMO, and it's in the first half too.

Nah, Tommy is safely through. His fame is enough to bring him through.

Well, Kaj and Tommy may not be super up-tempo but they are still both very in your face and eurovision-y.

Huge flop for FDC yesterday..

4.6 / 11.5%

Worst result ever for a final.
Just to compare, Eurovision last year doubled this result. RTP needs to revamp the format again. The difference between FdC and Eurovision results are clear.

Sorry, but why should they revamp the format when Portugal has been one of the best successful countries in the last 5 years and a format that brought them victory 8 years ago?

Because the tv ratings are terrible and decreasing year by year. Eurovision format is way more watched here.

I think what goncalovieira means, is that RTP should revamp to male it more appealing so that the results actually reflect what the country wants and likes instead of catfishing for votes just because “you are from Madeira” like it was this case. That way we would have people voting that are actually interest instead of having people voting “just because”. And I do agree RTP should be more strategic, but hey as long there’s booze at the backstage all is good.

I agree but I'm unsure if RTP agrees... In the post shows they have mentioned multiple times that the tv ratings are down but they see it as a inevitability. On the other hand they mention, with pride, that the engagement in the digital platforms is growing every year... So I doubt that the show will have any changes next year, but I hope that the judges will start to actually value the staging and how it looks on tv, because 1) It is a tv show; and 2) RTP needs a eurovision ready package!!!
Honestly it gives me a lot of schadenfreude imagining how screwed RTP will be tomorrow. They could have had it all, a team of professionals doing the work for them and maybe even a higher budget had "Medo" won... Napa have also a record with Universal Records, but I doubt that the record label will back them as they would have backed Fernando Daniel.

Seems they got two more days to send the info.
Well, they managed to give an amazing staging to The Black Mamba. However, about Napa, charisma is not their strongest point.
Just to let you know, portuguese fellows... along some members from tugavision, we are preparing a well written text for RTP's public opinion board (pretty hard to translate Voz do Cidadão). If you are interested to join us, feel free to send me a message by this platform or my personal account on facebook or instagram.

I was dumb enough to choose my identity as username 11y ago, so... It is fine. 😂

I think 'harmless' is the correct word and is ultimately what will sink this entry. It's not memorable, I've listened twice and still can't remember the tune. I think it'll get lost on the night
Yeah, but I do have a veryyyyy slight hope. Croatia, Slovenia, Norway and Iceland are even worse...
