OMG, I don't know where to start... This NF was a complete disaster... I can't think of anything good about it. Perhaps it was hearing and seeing Cyprus, Malta & Bulgaria perform... Most of the time it was just blah-blah talking, horrible hostess, commercial breaks every 15-20 minutes... And then it came down to the songs... The only one I actually like is the one sung entirely in Greek - "Χαμογελα"... Βαλαντω was the only other person that could sing and the only other song worth listening to was "I don't wanna dance". The winner is the absolute worst choice ever... An absolute chaos of bad singing/rapping and weird/scray music, not to mention that choreography... I'm only giving it 2 points cos it's partly in Greek and cos Λουκας at least looks good, though that won't make me vote for him (more into girls...). Overall - worst entry so far this year and perhaps one of the worst entries Greece ever sent.

Hey, Germany isn´t last in your ranking anymore xcheer

I think this song doesn't deserve such bad comments. It's the song that represents better Greece from the NF so thumbs up! :)
(And if we'll have to see craps like Ireland, Malta, FYR Macedonia or Belgium, I think we can with this :))
I would give 12 points to Loukas and 0 to the rest (I think rap parts should be forbidden cause they just destroy the songs... why Greece? why?? :?)
SO I'll give 8 in the end :)

PS- And Loukas has the most chances to become my Tom Dice no.2....

I am very satisfied with our choice, since it is a song that speaks directly to our hearts. The lyrics are very meaningful, especially now that we are in the middle of a very difficult economic situation. So, as the song says, we hold our head high and we dance zeibekiko, the proudest and most emotional greek dance.

I know this song won't have much appeal to our European friends, but I intend to support it even if we do not make it to the final. What I don't like much is the rap part but the zeibekiko part makes up for it.

The only thing that displeases me is that just because people find the rhytmh strange or they do not understand the lyrics, they characterize it as one of the worst songs this year or even pure crap. I just hope they are not the same people who kept nagging about us sending the same kind of songs year after year and who kept asking for something more Greek. Well, this is a song at its "Greekest", if I may use this term.;)

Here's a video of our most famous and most loved zeibekiko song. It is called "To zeibekiko tis Evdokias" which means "Evdokia's zeibekiko". Evdokia is a female name.

And this is how we usually dance to zeibekiko, a dance with no actual steps, only what comes straight from our soul.

When I first heard this I was quite shocked as Greece always appear to be one of the countries that take Eurovision most seriously - Which has been rewarded by a stream of good placings. I thought this must be a 'we're broke and can't afford to win/host' kind of entry. Reading the comments about the background to the song is very enlightening and I'm glad it has such meaning to some people.

However for me the 'rap' element is just dreadful and the whole thing appears to be lacking something that would easily be recognised as a melody. I think this might be one of those entries that polarises east and west opinions.

The people are angry because Nikki hasn't won.
But this is Eurovision, and each country chooses your song, like it or not everyone.
I liked Nikki, but Lukas has won because he had to win.
Forget nikki and all the resentment because the representative of Greece is Lukas.

I hope to improve the song, remove the table and do something with rap.:? He'll win more points.

Go Lukas ...

@Lady Killer +1

^You are so right! The winner is Loukas now, Niki sang bad and it cost her the ticket to Eurovision. Don't say the same things.

NEWS

ERT sent a letter to Louka's team, to change the whole performance giving focus to Zeimpeiko part ;)

Loukas said that in a few days, they will record the video clip of ''Watch My Dance''!

Also, Loukas grading himself (at the night of the NF) with a 5/10!

2 points. Great intro, mediocre verse but a completely forgettable chorus. I thought the chorus was a bridge to the chorus, not the actual thing and was waiting for it to come.

this could make it or break it

it is supposed to be a manly dance, and a eurovision-like eruption in the chorus would destroy the message of the song. I agree that this is a risky choice for ESC

Very dissapointed Greece chose this song as Nikki would have been a top3 song. Instead you'll send a song, i personally prefer to never listen to again.
Oh well, atleast this makes it easier for Norway in the semi.
