this 2018 slander thoughEveryone was shook back in 2018. I think some people thought I was joking, but I very much wasn't.
My stanning of Benjamin does make some sense though when you look deeper into it. Dance You Off is vibey. I love vibes. Benjamin is a villain. I love villains. There we are. My number 1 in what was quite possibly the worst Eurovision year since I've been following the contest. His performance was wonderful too. I don't care what anyone says. Legendary staging. When will everyone else's favs get this neon soaked fantasy?

First listen, I thought it's very fresh, very modern. If you don't know the name of the artist, you would think it's a girl who is singing this. I thought his voice would grate on me, but I got used to it as the song goes on. I do see some Benjamin Ingrosso' comparison (most likely due to the similar voice tone), but other than that, the song actually sort of reminds me of Belgium's Laura's "What's The Pressure".
I think the song will grow on me. I am more concerned if he is able to pull off the song 'live' because it needs a dance routine to elevate the song. So far I am happy with this entry considering what we have so far have been quite sub-par and this is definitely an upgrade from last year. I am giving this a 7 just because it is the best entry out of the big 5 and an improvement from last year. I can see this doing a top 15 if staging is done right and Ben can sing this song well.
And you people, stop slagging Benjamin. I actually like his entry more than 2019, 2017 and 2016 Swedish entries combined.

Wow. The last country I expected this year to deliver a hit. I'm really enjoying this one. 
It's lowkey what I was hoping UK would deliver by some miracle and it actually sounds more Radio 1 friendly than the UK entry. 
The only thing that this has in common with "Dance You Off" is that Ben Dolic has a similar voice with Benjamin, kind of. That entry was far more dreamy, while this is boppier. I like both but this is far stronger tbh.

I really like this - currently have it playing on loop. It's either a 10 or 12 from me at this point; not sure whether it will surpass Australia as my current favourite.

That's actually a pretty good entry from Germany! It's definitely a grower, that's for sure.

Well, to be honest, I'm delighted you all enjoy this song. It's sweet. I've just gotta remind everyone though of the somewhat similar (along the same lines-ish) Benjamin Ingrosso song from back in 2018 that everyone hated. Maybe it was overlooked a little

Well, I just listened to the song. I actually like this song a lot!! Didn´t expect it to be honest. 
The rhythm is great and I can´t get it out of my head. The only thing I´m not sure about is his voice. It´s very interesting, but also a bit tiring in my ears.
Anyway, I give this song good, we don´t need to be ashamed to send this!!

Can someone later post the 'live' performance link? I am very intrigued how he's going to perform this song. Germany's odds are climbing.

lol my excitement is already fading really quickly lol.
Like, "Violent thing" sounds good when I listen to it, but it's astounding how quickly my appreciation evaporates the second I stop listening. It lacks a certain something... like... a personality? a soul? a catchy hook? I don't know. It's not an unpleasant song to listen to but I also don't feel compelled to come back for more.
I'll give it a once the poll goes live.
It doesn't surprise me the Germans go wild for it though. Mediocre people are always attracted to the most conventionally generic things.

I like it, finally something good. 
But usually I don't like these radio-friendly songs in live version so it's hard to predict what to expect from it.
Probably good staging will be the key for good result.
But he sounds annoying, you can't sing "violent things" with this voice.
