While I wouldn't be as harsh about it, it's true the new version is a lot less likeable. It's a shame the original version was already top quality. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Is that an "unpopular" opinion though? Well, maybe the ones disliking the entry would like to hear less of it... but on the other hand the cut version is worse so even the haters would probably hate even more.

Yes I agree but I think the first version, although very good in my eyes, could be seen as too "loud, shouty" to casual Eurovision watchers so maybe the new version which is a bit less "loud" and calm at some points will attract more to those viewers as well
