It all starts with a simple flirt with somebody (sometimes it doesn't, but for the sake of narrative, this does), maybe you say something along the lines of "i tuoi eyes are very beautiful". Maybe somewhere there ends up this feeling that you and the person flirt with appartengono to each other.
