Will San Marino qualify for the first time ever?

By microstates, I was more thinking about Andorra, Monaco, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein.

All of them surely would have qualified if they still kept taking part. With ~3 entries (or so) after introduction of the semis, it's statistically more likely for these microstates to never pass them than e.g. for Sweden.

San Marino was in the second part of semi-final in 2012, but it was 11th so... I hope the broadcaster won't allocate them a similar placing this year.

I'm sceptical about their qualification. I think they might be close again. If they fail I think they will probably withdraw, if they qualify it might encourage smaller micro states to come back and give it another go.

Considering the countries that gave Valentina points last year that can give her points this year:

Spain - 10
France - 5
Armenia - 4
Latvia - 3
Hungary - 2
Azerbaijan - 1

and the rest are in the other semi
Malta - 6
Macedonia - 5
Israel, Romania - 4
Finland, Georgia, Greece - 1

Valentina's song is clearly worse this year, but so is the standard of songs. I think her song will be good enough to make the final this year.

I was kind off Disillusioned by last years failure. I believed in her last year and she didn't make it. I consider this years song to be weaker so I came to the conclusion it would fail. I shall pray to the Valentina-Gods to beg for forgiveness.
