Released for general circulation by CyGiTV, LTV and the NBU
The governing board of the national broadcaster of Cydoni-Gibberia, CyGiTV, and the governing board of the regional broadcaster of Låpøtré, LTV, with the blessing of the NBU, would like to release the following statement.
As of 18th October 2020, the respective boards of CyGiTV, LTV and the NBU have come to an agreement which permits the autonomous region of Låpøtré to take part as a full member of the Waiting List Song Contest, effective from WLSC 207.
All three parties would wish to stress that this in no way affects or hinders the ongoing participation of Cydoni-Gibberia in the Nation Song Contest, but allows for the increasing autonomy of Låpøtré to be reflected on the international stage and to further integrate the region into the NBU family.
We must also stress that this agreement does not allow for Låpøtré to join the Nation Song Contest, nor join its waiting list, and does not indicate any independence movement by the island region from the sovereignty of Cydoni-Gibberia.
All announcements relating to Cydoni-Gibberia's participation will continue to be made in the current thread, whereas all future communications regarding Låpøtré's participation in the Waiting List Song Contest will be made via the appropriate channels.
CyGiTV and LTV will not be making any further comment at this time.
The CyGiTV statisticians have been hard at work and can now finally reveal the current standings of final points given by Cydoni-Gibberia in the contest!
