Safe:il::fi::mt::gr::at::cz::
Probably safe: :lu::lt::au:

Borderline:rs::lv::am::

Out: :ie::ge::dk::me:

Of the 3 I have as Borderline, I'm going to guess that Armenia gets the last qualifying spot. I love Latvia but I'm worried it's headed for a Fuleen or Eaea result (yes I know Ulveham qualified last year, but only just). I can see a case for Serbia qualifying but i just think Armenia might pick up more support and I also note France is voting here.

Of the Outs: Montenegro may struggle for support outside the Balkans. Denmark isn't a strong enough performer or song. Georgia isn't memorable. Ireland already feels like the budget has been cut so I don't hold out hope for the staging it would need to be memorable and create a 'moment' especially from slot 3.

The rest: :cz: :rs: :dk: :lv: :lu:

Serbia should be changed with :am: in my own opinion. :lt: is a tricky one to decide, but for now I'm sure it will NQ.

Okay, pre-rehearsal predix. This semi is weird. I think of it as fairly similar to 2019 semi 2 where you've got about a half-dozen songs whose spots in the final seem pretty unassailable, a couple "probably"s, and then 2 wide-open spots...except that I think one of the "probably"s is missing :cool: (but also :( because I wish it would qualify). I'll try to distinguish between those seven p damn safe entries but I think the differences between the top seven are pretty academic.

HEADED FOR A VOYAGER-STYLE RESULT WHERE SHE LEVERAGES HER RUNNING ORDER SPOT, HER RELATIVE ADVANTAGE WITH TELEVOTERS AS OPPOSED TO JURIES, AND A FANTABULOUS PERFORMANCE TOWARDS A SEMI WIN

WOULD BE ULTRA SAFE BUT THAT DAMN RUNNING ORDER

This semi is much more interesting than the first, and I have to actually use my noodle a bit more when predicting. Australia is the big one here I just don't agree or understand the bookies with. Song alone, this really does not feel like a qualifier. Maybe staging can help it (and it must be half decent if they've allowed it to open) but I think it will be forgotten by the end of the show when we've had Kant, Ich Komme and whatever the heck Parg will be doing, speaking of which, he should be easily through as he doesn't have any male bop competition, unless we count Adonxs' 15 second dance break.. sadly the dance break has me regretfully placing Czechia 11th, although I think the borderlines in this semi will be close. Czechia and Denmark could easily replace one of them if they step things up *cough* step things up Sissal.

Greece and Lithuania stand on dodgy ground but should be able to slide in. Ireland stands on dodgier ground still and I fear if they don't bring good staging, they'll be out. I'm winging it with Serbia. Princ is hot, good singer, good draw.. he'll be picking up a bunch of very high points but not much else. Last year 43 points was the lowest needed in one of the semis to advance. He should reach something like that, if a smidge more.

If Latvia doesn't make it, and those dud songs from Armenia, Serbia and Ireland make it?

How does that make sense?

Serbia has a boring ballad that literally no one cares about, Armenia has a imagine dragons rip-off with poor vocals and Ireland is a jesc song that finished 10th on the scoreboard. And Latvia is serving what eurovision should be with gorgeous stagings and vocals.

Like how?

I like Latvia and I want it to qualify. The NF performance was also really strong and professional looking. My worry is that the song is going to sound too experimental and niche to get public support to qualify. I really hope I'm proven wrong on that.
