And won't :ie: and :uk: give :12: to :pl:?

Lithuania will get our 12, they always vote for their home country! The only year we gave you 12 was when you sent someone called "Gee"

It would be a miracle if Romania would get 12 points from any other country than Moldova. ;)

Italy. I don't think that juries will chop the televote like they did last year.

I can bet Italian and Spanish juries will annihilate the votes of the audience if they'll vote for Romania like they did last year
Better if people stop voting and spend their money, because their vote is in vain. All is decided by juries according with EBU interests. The system of voting from last year just entertain conflict between public and jury.

Should you mean it is decided according to their preferences and likes, ok; should you mean it is decided according to hidden interests, I may accept it if by doing that they compensate all those people who vote for their homeland only because it is their homeland, regardless how good or dreadful its song is. And that is what has happened in Spain with the Romanians in the last years. And I am not blaming only the Romanians: it has happened all around Europe with many nations.

I am a Spaniard myself and I can assure you that this year I would not vote for Spain, should I be abroad, and not because I do not like Spain's entry -which I do- but because there are entries I like better. I am proud of being Spanish, as well as Iberian, Castilian and Talaveran, but I am a proud European citizen as well, and I like to judge all this for what it is: a song contest.

if 40% of Italian votes were for Romania and Moldova, it means that not only diaspora voted, but many Italians also.
5 italian journalists diverted the result, just 5 people (jury members). Practically 40% of votes were in vain. They didn't compensate anything, they annihilated the public vote. When you say "all diaspora vote for their homeland just because its their homeland" you speculate. The jury cannot annihilate a public vote just because they speculate and think a song was voted by diaspora, only by diaspora but "we know for sure that diaspora don't like that song so let's have a strategic vote and put that song in the bottom to compensate a potential first place in televoting" It's a song contest and not a cynical calculation. Considering you can vote 20 times, not only once, is normal to vote for all your favorite songs and even for your homeland if you like that entry.

The jury must judge fairly, without thinking of the public vote and without making strategies. If you like a song you should vote it, if you don't like it, don't do it. But you cannot give less just because you anticipate that song will get anyway points from the public. You have to give the correct score, without thinking of the public vote.

Probably got it right. I could Imagine our Jury liking Malta, and the televote as well because it sounds a bit like a recent Gary Barlow Song. And Greece because we like all things Greek  The Juries might damage Greece though.

yeah, the younger ones may like it, I don't think it is the best song and despite age I think that will be shown in the votes. Don't get me wrong, I like the song and the performance will be decent, but I dont see it as a winner.. despite what a certain 'impartial' site say haha

Well France is actually playing the game like it should.

Meaning Denmark and Sweden who were probably our 8 pointers behind diaspora voting for Armenia, Turkey etc ended up with our 12 points for the last two years.

I therefore suspect whover wins and are Runner up will get from the traditional 6 and 8 to 8 and 12. Although given the songs Armenia and Israel could make a comeback on top as juries shouldn't trash them as they trash lonely planet last year.
