My mom hasn't said anything about this year's songs yet

My SISTER on the other hand has given me her opinions on the songs.

She really likes :lt:, :se:, and :mk:. She thinks that  will win

She asked me were there any drag queens this year in the contest. I told her that she was in luck and played you know who. She was instantly wowed by Conchita.
My mom doesn’t even knows what drag queen means :p

She only watch the Final, she hears the songs once during the show, so I don’t know what she likes from this year, but I remember last year she liked Denmark, Moldova, Azerbaijan. She likes more melodic dramatic ballads and not Lena, Lordi and so on. Also, she always likes San Marino entries. Last year she was astonished: "but where is San Marino?".

Tonight my mother loved San Marino and The Netherlands. She was so touched by Valentina's performance and my love of her. I showed her the ESCUNITED interview afterwards where my words were read to Valentina and my Mum went watery eyed.

I think she really enjoyed Azerbaijan, also Sweden and Montenegro she said were quite nice. She said she sort of liked Russia as well, comparing the Twins to Abba!?xwhat Mother thought Hungary's singer had a good voice but wasn't as keen on the song.

We were in hysterics when the Belgium postcard started as my Mother was sitting there knitting as well. I think she thought Axel was sweet but she said he sounded like one of those amateur opera singers you get competing on talent shows:rolleyes:

Mumsie thought Estonia and Moldova were dreadfulxqueenbitch

Since I don't really know/ talk to my mother I cannot say. But I asked my BF (who has to suffer through my constant nagging) what he thinks of the songs.
First up :de: In general, he likes it but the singer is not his cup of tea. Doesn't like her look (that meanie) nor her voice.
The first semi, he only really liked four songs. Best was :ru: which surprised me, then :nl:, :hu: and :is:. He loved their costumes so much, he seriously considers to have the pink suit for himself. ;D
:az: he said was ok, but the studio version is better and should be longer than three minutes. (more build-up) :nl: could also be extended, a bridge is needed and a certain loud 'bang' which would destroy the song imo. But that's his opinion.
He strongly disliked :md: ("Terrible"), didn't like :be: ("Painful."), :al: ("Girl!*pained expression*"), :ee: ("Bland"), :pt: ("Sounds like a football song, Shakira and Lambada for poor mixed together."), :ua: ("Pretty girl and cool wheel in the background, that's about it.") and :sm:("Nothing special.").
:se: ("Hmmm... just okay."), :lv: ("I knew you would like it.") and :me: ("Nice music/intrumentation") were okay but not his favorites. :am: he liked in general (Studio version) but the live performance was really terrible he said.
I've also shown him:
:es: "No. Too much screaming!"
:fr: "They do have a certain humor, don't they?" He speaks fluent French and said he liked it somewhat.
 "Yeah, very nice."
:at: "Yeah, It's good."

For some weird reason, my dad watched the beginning of the semi yesterday.

He just told me:
DAD: "Hey Pablo, did you know Eurovision started yesterday?"
ME: "Oh.... really ¬¬?"
DAD: "But Spain is already qualified?"
ME: "Yes, dad" (he asks the same thing EVERY YEAR)
DAD: "And how's that if we come always last. How come they don't kick us out of the competition?"
ME: "Well, we put more money on the table and all that...."
DAD: "Armenia was very good. That could win".

Clever dad I have :D

Both my parents watched last night the semi and their comments about the songs were:

:am:: My mother said that it's a good opener but he wasn't perfect live and that it's too simple. My dad said that it's a great song but not a winner
:lv:: It liked to my mother enough I think. My dad was just laughing :?
:ee:: Both said that it looks a lot like "Euphoria". Then non made a comment about singing-dancing the same time
:se:: My mum wasn't impressed from the first time that she was selected, but she said that it was fine. My dad said that it was too slow
:is:: Both thought that it won't pass. But my mother actually liked it cause it's messange
:al:: My dad said that it's not bad but they had send better songs
:ru:: Both weren't impressed from the staging and they said that Fokas could have done much more better job. Then they didn't like who they were acting in the stage
:az:: I don't know why but the music was louder than the voice...anyway she liked it a lot.
:ua:: They liked it both especially from how the camera showed it
:be:: Both said that he has a really good voice but the song is not that good
:md:: My dad liked it a lot. My mother liked it a bit as song but not as staging
:sm:: Hopefully my mother liked really much and especially when I said to her that it's her third time she said that she will pass. My dad liked it also
:pt:: My mother disliked it and she said that she is actually only a beautyful girl. My dad liked it though, but he said that even Spain wouldn't vote for it.
:nl:: My dad said that it's an averange song with a forgettable staging. My mother said that it was her fave from this semi along with :sm: and it had an interest
:me:: Both liked it but they said that it could have been better
:hu:: Here it is a bit complicated. My mother liked it but she said that it's too sad for Eurovision. My dad surprisingly liked it really much and he believes that it will win.

It's worth to be mentioned that my brother who is 7 years old saw the first to songs and he liked them all . Also I asked my parents about Val's age and my dad said 25 and my mother 32. When I told them her actual age they were shocked
