I think it's impossible NOT to release it on PC...

I also couldn't believe that something like this would be possible, but then I realized that it did in fact happen. I was sooooo disappointed and angry that Fifa World Cup 2010 did not come out for the PC  I loved to play WC 06, so I was really looking forward to '10.

Any news on what will happen with the WC 14 game?

And I thought for a second that you have some good news for me regarding the World Cup game IOTAP

Anyway, I don't play most of the games out there, but I do play a few. If you check out this thread, you'll see me having a chat with alca about GTA earlier :p

That was really helpful, thanks a lot xcheers :D

I also think that PS3 has much better exclusives. I only played Halo 1 from XBox exclusives and it was like.........OK, but I definetly wouldn't buy a console to play it. On the other hand, God Of War is an impressive game and that one is a completely different story :D

Personally, Blu-Ray is not something that is important for me, but it is a nice feature.

Based on this description, I think PS3, even though more expensive, is a better solution for me. I am mostly into action adventures, platformers and FPS. I do like games like PES, FIFA and NBA as well and even Need For Speed, but, for some reason, I tend to avoid RPG and RTS games, even though there are some really good titles that I play from those genres as well :D

Also, on which console do you have a better multimedia experience? Can both consoles use services like YouTube for example? And which formats do they play (mp3, avi, etc....)?

Also, last question......can you play pirated games on them ()? In :rs: we head for pirated games like........almost all the time  Since the standard is not good and the originals are expensive, so we usually download games from torrents or some other websites. I heard there are chips that are added into a console but that question is also quite tricky, as these newer consoles, as far as I understood, can't run the newer games with this chip added (I mean on the pirated versions), and also I heard that on XBox 360, if you go to the LIVE service after playing a single pirated game, they ban your console. Is it true?

It's no problem:mrgreen: I'm a bit of a gaming nutterxcrazy

Hmmmm the naughty rather controversial subject of pirating:eek: I'm afraid I won't be able to help much here. I have a friend who had a modded Xbox 360 a few years back. He eventually got banned when Microsoft found a way to block people with modded xbox's from going online. I believe you could still get a modded xbox today but you won't be able to take it online. Sony come down even harder on modders I believe.

For action adventures and platformers PS3 is for sure the way to go I believe. On there you have Uncharted, The Last Of Us (which is out soon), Ico & Shadow of Colossus hd collection (Two of the most beautiful games ever made in my opinion), Siren (great exclusive horror game), Heavy Rain (brilliant cinematic experience).. Then for your platforming needs theres Rachet & Clank, Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper which are all exclusive to the console and supposed to be really good. All the sports games are multi platform so you'll probably be sorted.

I love Xbox so much but i'm never excited for first party releases any more. The console used to be a true killer in that department. It had Bioshock (one of my favourite games ever), Mass Effect and Dead Rising all of which are now available on the PS3. The only exclusive I can think of in my head right now I really love that Xbox has is Alan Wake, a really enjoyable mystery horror game. I'm not a fan of the Halo's and Gears of War's. They are obviously really good if you're into those types of games though.

Xbox I would say is the better multimedia experience. Much to some owners anger, microsoft seem to be heading more towards being the ultimate multimedia console. The next rumoured Xbox is heavily rumoured to be extremely errrr multimedia-ary (is that a word?):?

Both consoles have youtube. I'm not sure what music files they play etc. I'm sure mp3's are fine though as I used to copy my cd's onto the xbox.

Have you considered a Wii or Wii U? Both consoles are a bit of a novelty but you won't find better exclusives than what Nintendo offers. My brother and I bought a Wii U between us the other day. I'm having a blast playing Monster Hunter.

Thanks a lot for this really informative reply xcheers :D I really appreciate it :D

As I found out in the meantime that PS4 will come out this year and that it will be able to play the games from all previous consoles, and the new Xbox is also quite close, I think I will wait for them to come out and "come to life" :D

So far I am closer to choosing PS. One of the reasons are these exclusives. I am also not excited Halo or Gears of war even though they are quality games, while on the other side I really like God Of War and also the classic games like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the dragon. Also, I somehow believe that PS is a bigger brand, and the way I am thinking now, I am really close to choose PS.

I tried Wii, although I am not too interested in getting that one as all of these games are playable on PC too with the Dolphin emulator and I already tried a good number of them  But it is a great platform and I like that it sticks to some awesome retro gaming values :D As a long-term gamer that is what I really respect.

As for the pirated games - it sounds a bit funny but the standard right here doesn't allow us to purchase originals, as they cost a fortune and it doesn't pay off :( One or two originals are reachable but generally......that's a problem.

Michael and Trevor's story/setting looks amazing. Getting amazing vibes from them. Not interested in Franklin at all. That whole gangster, hippidi hop thing annoys. I wonder how the game will work? Whether we will choose a character or be forced play as all three throughout the game?

Unfortunately Tomb Raider 2013 won't run on my PC :( It is the first game since........2008 that I can't play (that is when I bought a new PC).

I am playing Bioshock Infinite. This game is just ........fantastic. I think it is a serious contender for the game of the year award.

Sorry to say this but you're missing out on a good game. It's bad how fast the computers are getting behind. I bought mine 2 years ago, and some 2013 games are a bit hard to run.
I will probably play BioShock in the summer. It sounds promising :D

Indeed, the technology changes just way too fast, and when I see that I payed 500 EUR for this configuration that was among the best ones at the time (in 2008), and compare it to the PC you get now for the same price......... usually, every year you get 3 x better configuration for the same ammount of money with which the previous (old) one was payed.

I am not a huge TR fan, but these screenshots look amazing, and I really want to try it :(

Bioshock Infinite is my recommendation. The game is marvelous in every aspect. :D
