It seems to have been forgotten. No momentum. Maybe things will pick up as we get nearer to the contest and if they do a few pre parties?

I think UK has got a good chance for the last place with this very strange song.

Which of the AQs this year would Q if they had to compete in SFs?

I think France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland would all be safe.

Spain would be borderline.

I think UK would be slick enough to qualify, but i find it so hard to guess how casuals would react to this song

This is gonna be slick!
Slick: “meaning is a person who can also be a cheat or a swindle. This definition of slick has been around since the 1930’s and has had little change since then”
This is an offensive term.

You are aware language changes with times and location right. Gay used to mean happy and that definition was created long before the 1930s

These live vocals are fire...

It's nice that we've an entry that can sing competently after the past 2 years of us all deluding ourselves that it was just a cold.

In other news, apparently their record label is sending them on a promo tour. They'll go to the usual Amsterdam, London & Madrid Pre-Parties, and then after that they'll go to other countries in the run up to promote themselves and the entry.

Their acoustic version sounds good! It seems there is a gap in their respective vocal qualities, but they'll probably find a way to disguise that a bit. I hope the bookmakers are right that this one will make the top 15.

I wouldn't trust the odds with the uk. There are plenty of British people who will bet on the uk to win.

By the way it seems you do not understand how the odds work. This is not a prediction of the final results by bookmakers. This is merely a reflection of where betting people are placing their money based on who these betters think will win. If you want anyone in the 30s to rise in the odds just place a large bet on them and watch them jump a few places. However if they don't win you will wave goodbye to that money.

No, that's not true. While odds do reflect how people are betting, other factors are taken into account as well, including assessments of the song's quality. It's even described at Eurovisionworld.com. This is why the initial odds often turn out to be relatively accurate.

Besides, if you ask betting companies about their odds, they'll probably not say "our odds are only determined by people's bets". It's more complicated than that.
