I am in agreement with :dk: 2013. No wonder why my British friend called it "Dull-mark"

In reverse chronological order:

2013 - The only winning song in recent years I gave no attention to. I think it doesn't even reach 5 plays in my iTunes.
2011 - Bland and forgettable. However, I do like the Afrikaans version.
2009 - Really not my cup of tea. I can see why it won, not why it did with such a huge margin.
2008 - Awful, cliché, over-the-top and ridiculous. Probably the worst in recent years.
2002 - Just stupid. ESC was really in the abyss at that time.
1999 - Such an old-fashioned and clichéd Eurovision song!
1984 - The epitomy of what was bad in the 80s.
1983 - Awful lyrics.
1980 - I stronly dislike this one, probably because I love "Hold Me Now" and this pales in comparison.
1968 - Horrendous song.
1966 - So slow, just count how much time he takes to pronounce "chérie". Ugh!
1958 - Meh.

Top 5 from old century

1983 :lu: (yuck, just no)
1993 :ie: ( terrible as well)
1979 :il: (the only one to dislike this, but I just can't stand it. The song is so slow and their voices doesn't say to me nothing at all)
1975 :nl: ( I find it very stupid especially the Ding Dang Dong part)
1959 :nl: ( don't like her voice)

top 4 new century

2015 :se: (Terrible from Sweden , without the amazing staging it wouldn't have won)
2004 :ua: (Weak lyrics, terrible performance, I only enjoy the music)
2003 :tr: (Not a big fan of this one)
2009  (387 points, really Europe ?)

I've watched Eurovision since 1989 and although I am familiar with many of the winning songs before that year I cannot really comment on how deserving the winners were in their respective years as I haven't heard all of the songs they were competing with. So it would be unfair to pass comment on any of the winning entries before 1989.

However, post-1989 I believe that the weakest winning Eurovision song has been.... (puts bullet proof shields up)... :gr: Helena Paparizou in 2005. The quality of the song was astonishingly weak for a Grand Final winner, containing schoolgirl lyrics to compliment an uninspiring melody. The performance, dance routine, and staging were generic 'Eurovision by numbers' mid-tempo pop. I have never grasped the reasons why that song is still so popular with so many Eurovision fans... but then again life would be fairly dull if we all shared the same opinions.

From 1990 on

:it: 1990, :il: 1998, :dk: 2000, :ee: 2001, :ru: 2008
I was okay with the rest although :az: and :at: didn't really deserve their win imo.
:ru: 2016 could be added to this list soon
