The Cydu entry for Congrats was a pretty straightforward fight between the two lengthy epic-sounding songs that we sent this decade. RAM and Fear Of Tigers were both amazing entries and will go down as two of our favourite all time entries but since RAM was the only Cydu finalist in this decade it seemed only reasonable that the latter should get another shot..

However let it not be said we aren't proud of this decade. Despite the poor success rate with our best result being 27th in the final, we are still proud of the variety of this decade. We had the only 3-time Cydu entrant back, heavy vocal trance, shoegazing folky-type stuff, instrumental trance, electro-alternative rap that you shalt always listen to, some random guy pouring water into a bath (no idea who it could be), a particularly voter-heavy NF resulting in a certain Irish band, this song, all the fun of the fair and evil clowns. Here's hoping the next decade will be as good

Ninja skillz were useful as usually, but the key to the codebreaking was a device our engineers ivented, called "awesomeness detector". It works like a compass, but instead of pointing out the north pole, the nail guides to awesome songs. It showed me a way to your entry.

I decided, for the first time in Cygo's near 3 year history, that I will change my entry to one that I have suddenly fell in love with (and I hope the change is accepted). Everything Everything will get their much deserved 3rd chance in NSC 63

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

Having only discovered this song two days ago (and it only being uploaded to YouTube a week or so before) it is very rare that such a song would grow on me this quickly. But Orlando Dinosaur, son of a music professor at Oxford University (probably not Professor Dinosaur), hath shown me the error of my ways with this 3-minute burst of electro and repetitive nonsensical lyrics. Oh, and he has a rather quirky band name too but that's par for the course with Cygo nowadays (meheh). This is very likely to fare even worse than my first choice but I don't really care anymore

For the next few editions Cydoni-Gibberia will be travelling around the world to find our entries and to give NSC a more international flavour, especially considering most of the acts that have been chosen for us have been UK/US artists. Since I suck at finding songs in other languages English is most likely to still dominate but it's the act's homeland that counts right? RIGHT?
