Oh, dear heaven, what happened to Russia? Such a massive change from last year's entry. Do you still remember them Liz, the six grannies from a distant Russian village hidden in the snow of Siberia?
Oh yes, I still remember them..... I was always wondering how they could bake cookies in three minutes. I'm still searching for the recipe on the internet.
But this year Russia is so decent, it's almost suspiciously decent. It has decent lyrics and a decent melody. And the young girl sings in a very respectable fashion. I don't have this feeling of "Oh is this song about a whole lot of nothingness again?" Do you think I should send her an invitation to one of my musical soirées?
Eh, I don't know Eau...It could be that Ms Tyler will not be very pleased when he hears about it. This ballad could challenge her song for being the best standard ballad of this season. It's quite a good and neatly composed piece of music, just a bit too trivial and cliché. But I assume it's good enough to end up in the top 10, also thanks to the usual help from the former Soviet states, now Russia's neighbours.
Which I'm certain will happen. We'll give this ballad 3 points because it's well made, pleasantly listenable, but not outstanding.

Very ordinary ballad, another 'let's join our powers together' kind of ballad, yawn... nice song but that's about it.

All things considered, I think that this is at the same level of Sweden (but for different reasons), so 2 points to close the gap.
