Wow, no top 3 placing in televoting apart from . Always knew it wouldn't connect to viewers as much.

I think the staging just wasn't appealing for casual audiences. It was unintentionally funny. The juries probably saw it more as an art piece.

I had noticed it being quite wobbly and sliding about in different jury show footage that was more front-on as well. I didn't get myself how some people didn't see any issue.

Really good vocal control by Gjon for it not to affect his voice!

Gjon performed through it like the amazing artist he is. And even after all that, he still won the jury vote - I'd love to know what he pushed that super-high note to (his top note as I saw in another video regarding the artists' vocal ranges was E5)

Gjon's performance on the finale of Rocio Carrasco's documentary series on Wednesday night. Blas Canto also performed, and Barbara Pravi appeared via video link from Paris (she tested positive for COVID-19)

That really is quite sad. I totally thought this masterpiece would slay both votes, until the points came in. I think the problem, if anything, was France. The songs were both in French and sort of appealed to the same factors, and France's more hardcore "traditional" style just stood out more, even though it's a generic and badly written song in my opinion.

Got a feeling Gjon will come back though....

Super glad he won the jury vote, deservedly so. This is why juries need to stay.
He wasn't my favourite this year, but he'll be forever my personal winner of 2020, Répondez-moi just hits differently

I don't see this winning either (even though it's currently comfortably sitting as my number 2), simply because of the fact that there has never been a winner in recent years which resembled its predecessor. I don't want to say Tout L'Univers is Arcade 2.0, because it's not, but it's hard to imagine a piano ballad winning two times in a row.

Just heard some big news: Gjon will be participating in The Voice All-Stars in France to celebrate the 10th anniversary that country's version of the franchise - they're bringing back some of the participants from the various seasons. DE 2018 finalist Emmy Liyana's also taking part, and 1993 French ESC participant Patrick Fiori will be one of the coaches along with Mika, Zazie, Florent Pagny and Jenifer

Smart guy! He is trying to have his album released by the end of the year, so that participation could give him some good momentum in France right before he releases it.
