I know it's not great to form absolute opinions based on a static video shot... but that was a very static performance:lol:

Theres so much great, interesting stuff in this semi final that I want desperately to see succeed to the final and I think I can now tick this off the list as a potential threat. I honestly can't see this passing even with 100 close up shots of the old mans face... ok maybe if he was carrying a tray of cookies. Someone should tell Switzerland they need a oven on stage with them. Maybe they could dance around it.

The sound is augmented for broadcast, but I'm still hopeful that it will qualify! And a huge thank you to Christoph for answering my question! xlove

I quite liked this when I saw the preview video over a week ago, and even more when I heard it on the ESC 2013 official CD album twice yesterday. It's a good catchy song, one of the entries I most definitely want to qualify from semi-final 2 on Thursday evening.

This could possibly be Switzerland's third win in the history of the ESC, 25 years after their last win in 1988.

(Never mind that I think this song's one of the poorest in this year's lot)

Have you accidently watched the rehearsal?

I don´t think, that this song can win, but it has good chances for the final. Even in SF 2.

To be honest: I even have doubts that it will reach the final. The performance is too static, the stage background is boring, the song is pleasing to the ears, but there is missing a special. In addition they are performing just after Georgia, which I consider as a huge disadvantage. And after Switzerland performs Romania with a song which is very polarising and noticeable. In "sandwich" between these two countries it seems to be very forgettable
When we take a look to the opponents, I think it will be hard for Takasa.
Norway and Georgia are pretty sure final candidates, Greece will be well received by most of the voters, San Marino as well. Azerbaijan has a subscription for the final anyway. Finland has a very special performance, Malta's song is pretty authentic and kind of good-mood-song. The Icelandic song benefits from a amazing singer.
It is going to be very tight, but I rather have a bad feeling about Takasa.

Don't like the idea, but are many members of the Salvation Army kinda organized to vote for Switzerland tonight, aren't they??? That's what I read on social media. I really hope the whole Salvation Army and every christian group will vote for them, cause Switzerland always needs every single vote.

Here will go my vote. Switzerland deserves to qualify year after year (well, except 2010) and they fail. I don't wanna waste my vote on Norway or Greece, which are IMO certain qualifiers.
So if you like the Swiss song, vote for it and not for Norway, Greece, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Finland,... etc. They will qualify anyway and don't need your vote. Switzerland does!!!!!

I dislike everything about Switzerland this year. It's just not my type of song AT ALL. It has fallen to 39th place in my personal ranking. That's how much I hate it.
