I'm agreeing on them to change their name and suits, even though I really suppose it has been done with commercial purpose. They already knew it would have been ending like this and they played on it. Whatever other name and suit they will choose, everyone will know they are the salvation army!
Beside this, this song rocks and I really like it. I'm fighting to understand if they or Margaret Berger are my favourite singers for this edition!!!!

There's nothing about religion in the song but the people who sing it are The Salvation Army which is a Protestant Christian organization, and I think that's where the problem is coming from.

Yes, it's not about religion. There was a group of priests in the German NF and they most likely wouldn't have had to change their looks or anything as they are not breaking trademark rules. I mean look at a lot of songs from Israel, half of them have religious messages in them without being overly inappropriate. So those who think it's unfair, it's all about trademark.

Yes the issue is the trademark, but I must say that in France we are particularly concerned about not expressing religion in a public place. So the Priests would have been quite offensive in Eurovision. I mean, we also have a group of Priests, but it's just impossible to imagine them representing France. It would have been considered as highly provocative... So, I'm not keen on seeing christian organisations on the Eurovision stage. It's completely out of place...

Basically they're saying the world has gone lost but that they themselves are safe. They never mention love, so one can safely assume (as we know who they are) that it's because of their beliefs. A bit arrogant I'd say.

Interesting the salvation army are provocative.... thats a new one.
Here in Denmark the army normally stands out on the street and collect money wile they are sining and playing instruments.... Let them play i Copenhagen in may, I think we will stop and for once listen to their music

I'm sorry, please don't misunderstand me, I do not believe that the salvation army is provocative at all, I was just stating that given that the Salvation Army is a Religious Organisation and the lyrics for the song , an argument could be made that it comes close to breaking the rules on Eurovision songs.

Anyone else feel Switzerland is moving backwards from the progress they made with In Love for a While? After they finally made the final they have gone back to the same type of songs that have always left them in the semis. Its a nice song but nothing about it really stands out. That combine with the fact that they always choose so early helps make them forgotten.
