They are lower in the odds because many believe the song doesn't have the impact to win. Which it doesn't.

To be honest, there is no song this year that screams winner, yes there is a few good songs, but no clear favorite.

So then you have to look on the whole package as well as the stage-performance, and to be honest I see few countries that can match Sweden when it comes to this.

Winning or not Benjamin deserves at least top 5.

Eric Saade fell from 6th place to 9th or 10th in 2011, after rehearsal, and he finished 3rd. I was tracking odds at the past years. So odds mean nothing for final placement, just for victory. I think Benjamin still can be the top 5 at least. :) And this song has kinda similar atmosphere like Eric's song.

I'm so happy he's finally wearing the jacket.. it made me so nervous when it was just dangling from one shoulder.

Rybak's song is objectively worse than this, I hope you know it, even if you like it. It doesn't have winning impact too. He is up at the odds just because of his name, nothing else, and I wish him to flop, because it is the only thing he deserves. His times are gone. @QwaarJet

You talk about objectivity, and then go on to present your own personal (and deeply subjective) opinions as fact. His song is objectively worse than Sweden's? Who exactly decides that? Norway doesn't have winning impact? Is that why pretty much everyone in the press centre (who saw the full rehearsals) believes this is a strong contender to win?

If you want him to flop, that's your business. But you don't get to decide what he "deserves". You are bringing a lot personal hatred to this, mainly of Rybak.

Still don´t get how :se: can be only 8th i the odds, can not be taken seriously...:?

I wouldn't take that too seriously, odds have been wrong so many times. I think Sweden was 18th or something before the final in 2011, and Conchita didn't rise until after her semi-final.

Free time for sightseeing. Benjamin says he's confident and there are no rehearsal events planned as since he's alone on stage he can basically manage everything on his own in his hotel room.

Yeah, true. But I'm a little bit excited that we have this "Northern battle" this year. :)
A little "war of the (fan) camps" spices up Eurovision. We've had that a few times in the past... e.g. Lena/Safura, Aram MP3 and his opponents, Russia and Ukraine many times... and you just have to look at the YouTube comments below a Eurovision video.

So I'm curious who will carve out a way to (more) success - Sweden or Norway. While Sweden is probably in a safe place around 3-6, Norway is either doing very good or very bad, so I'm not sure where Rybak will end. His chances are better at the moment to win the Nordic battle but we all know it's very unclear, it's more an "all or nothing" thing. He either wins this contest or he gets ignored by people.

Let's say Norway 2017 competed with THYWAS instead of 'Grab The Moment'. Do you think it would have had any chance of winning the contest? What about 2016, 2015 or even 2014?

This is a pretty weak year, and this song would have very little chance of winning most years, but this year...yes. It has a massive chance.

My deeply objective opinion tells me you are bringing public hatred to this.

Benjamins aunt Charlotte Perrelli (yes she is his aunt) will be in Lisbon to support him and do some interviews.

Apparently Perrelli will also release two new versions of Hero since it is exactly 10 years since she competed with it, there will be an accustic and one orchestal version, to be released tomorrow on Spotify.

I am afraid Benjamin will flop, on 15 bad comments below rehearsal video goes 1 positive comment. People talk that every year is the same situation with Sweden on Youtube, but I don't know...:( And I am reading 3 forums from my country, maybe me and 10 more people like this entry, out of 90 people. Other 80 people want this so badly to stay in semi. I don't know if it is about jealousy or reality here.

To be honest i'm starting to doubt if he can win. I don't think that he can reach top 5 on televoting so even if juries will give him a place in top 3 no win will come.

Ooh, but I already told you I also think winning is impossible, you saw my post in Izrael's tread. This entry has huuuuugeee polarization, leaning towards bad more than good, on the contrary of Izrael's polarization, which leans towards good. I am afraid this will stay in semi, but I really love it. :( Comments are really ugly, I never saw and heard ugly words like those in my life at all, I am shocked, whenever I open Youtube page of Swedish rehearsal. Btw, I still don't get the hatred this one receives. It is maybe not the winning song, but it is good, ordinary, radio pop song.

No way for Sweden to be NQ! It propably won't win but its near impossible to stay in the semi-final!
