The WV 12 entry:

"Twilight Of The Thunder God" - Amon Amarth

The picture of Mordor was a hint to the artist. The Sindarin name for Mount Doom is Amon Amarth. The two hint pictures for the song were obvious; twilight (the light phenomenon that occurs between sunset and dusk) and Thor (who is the God of Thunder in Norse Mythology).

Metal is one of my favorite genres, but not all metal songs I like. Some I don't like at all.

This particular song is fantastic. It has such a great melody in chorus, I think it can ravish not only metal fans. I hope so much that it will have enough support to qualify.

Thrash metal isn't the only kind of metal though. I wouldn't call myself a biiig metal fan if I only enjoyed one type of metal.

I love so many different kinds of metal sub-genres, such as power metal, symphonic metal, folk metal, death metal, melodic death metal, black metal, pagan metal, viking metal, thrash metal, glam/hair metal and of course the good old classic heavy metal.

Basically anything with a great tune, regardless of the genre.

Yeah, I agree. That's why I told him he's more like a hard rock fan than a metal fan. Thrash Metal is close to Hard Rock IMO. I personally enjoy some power metal and some songs in symphonic metal, and folk metal too, but I don't like black metal and death metal.

TBH I was a bit worried about the result (especially after Emperor told that he didn't like this song ).
But it's so fantastic to see this in the final.
It even reduces the pain of my entry's failure. Thank you so much for your support and points.

I am sooooo freaking stoked I qualified. I honestly didn't expect it at all with this song since I knew it definitely wasn't to everyone's taste, but I am soo happy I did!!

I can't believe Latvia didn't qualify. 1
