The Camera work was terrible for everyone. The camera was shaking non stop for the UK. (not that a straight a camera would have changed much )

Actually YES! thought so with :it: as well :? those shots from a big distance where you could see the ther two kind of chatting while the one on the right was singing. Very awful indeed :? no more wins for :at: please!

At least they didn't show your dancers while changing positions or running, stuff that MUST NOT be seen on TV.

^ And I'm sure Edurne's weird arm moves should have made sense or looked x1000 better :?

Yeah, the lights effects with those arm moves only worked during the first seconds...

I think the dress change thing was a bit of a fail though as her dress thing became undone a couple of seconds before it was ripped off so it was less dramatic.

VOTES FOR SPAIN (Televoting/Jury)
Albania: 11/19
Armenia: 12/16
Australia: 16/16
Austria: 21/14
Azerbaijan: 10/15
Belarus: 13/18
Belgium: 10/19
Cyprus: 11/19
Czech Republic: 13/20
Denmark: 16/14
Estonia: 16/12
FYR Macedonia: 16 (only televoting)
Finland: 14/15
France: 6/13
Georgia: 19/8
Germany: 20/14
Greece: 11/14
Hungary: 16/17
Iceland: 14/13
Ireland: 13/18
Israel: 13/12
Italy: 9/19
Latvia: 18/13
Lithuania: 19/23
Malta: 14/9
Moldova: 11/14
Montenegro: 9 (only televoting)
Norway: 16/13
Poland: 11/19
Portugal: 2/14 (Portuguese juries again....¬¬)
Romania: 9/19
Russia: 11/12
San Marino: 13 (only jury)
Serbia: 14/17
Slovenia: 17/23
Sweden: 14/10
Switzerland: 8/15
Netherlands: 17/16
UK: 13/13 (UK seems to be full of United haters ¬¬)

Well, in general we did much better with the televoting, except in the Nordic countries. Med-table results in televoting, med-low results in juries, but in the end we got a worse 50/50 result, just the opposite than last year, when we came top-10 when we were lower in both rankings. I think we would have an average result that was broken due to certain countries which were quite low in every voting got high points from a few countries (generally neighbours).
Austria is, like last year, the country which voted the least for us. They must really hate us!!!

My favourite was when the camera zoomed in on a woman's chest for what seemed like about 10 seconds, after one of the performances had finished (I can't remember which one). The camera work was a very mixed bag overall. Some mesmerizing performances, others very badly shot.

As for Spain, gosh.. I know a few people saw this coming but I really thought that this was a dark horse to do well. I suppose Latvia just blew this one out of the water vocally, and staging wise. There were just so many women performing towards the end of the show. Overall it was a pretty good performance and the song itself is rather grand, epic even. I am surprised it didn't do a little bit better at the very least. As a song I find it so much better than all the shouty diva-ish vocal showcase ballads that Spain has a fetish for. This actually was a pretty good piece of music. I suppose the competition was just too tough and in the end there were others that shone more. I'm sorry for Spain. You don't deserve this mega flop.

I just can't understand what happened... WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM SPAIN EUROPE? It's so so unfair. That performance was epic. I'm gonna flood my Facebook with that and I'm sure people will delete me! Edurne did an amazing job even though I think she was nervous during the performance. For me this is one of the best Spanish entries. Especially in the last few years.

But now I think it's time to stop sending female vocalists. Time for a change. I won't stop saying this: Pablo Alboran is your last and ONLY choice! He is super cute, he has an amazing voice and a great talent. Winning combo. Of course he won't win (hellooo Spain!) but he can do miracles (aka top 5). I was right when I said months before Pastora was announced that she is the best choice. Now I'm saying Pablo.

If Pablo can't do it, well maybe you should leave the contest (no no no I didn't say that. Don't leave!)

I love my heart is refusing me and that's probably why I love this song. Good job!!

xgaah I really don't know what does Europe want from Spain. Maybe this wasn't a winning song, but seriously, SERIOUSLY? My God, how on Earth are we going to stop thinking we are ALWAYS underrated/ignored? I really don't get it. Now I'm furious and I want Spain to withdraw a few years. Tomorrow I'll think differently (I hope), but right now I'm so dissapointed xgaah every year the voting part feels like we're smashing our head against a wall, no matter what or who we send... X-OI

Very nice the Swedish boy, by the way xshock1 he can have my twelve points and my phone number if he wants it... xheat

Great post!
Hey Ninotchka, did you realise that you perfectly explained Sweden's victory in only one single line of text and smilies? Just perfect! xup
Never mind the irritating background music, it's not important.

The main thing that comes to mind that might have brought down Spain was the unnecessary red covering. And the camera angles killed a lot of entries this year, Slovenia being the worst casualty

Brilliant entry, Spain :)

Spain should have gone with a much more simple performance in my opinion. It was a huge distraction from the song.

I was sure it will end up in Top 10 as the performance was almost flawless but Europe doesn't seem to appreciate any Spanish entry :(

True. I said iut one dayr before the final or so, with such a over dramatic performance this was meant to be a flop.

I always had this song in my top 5 and the dramatic show with all the colors was really cool. I don't get it, why didn't it get points?
