Finally it's almost time to listen to some of the songs!

I pray for a handful of efforts strong enough to lead to a qualification, semi 2 apparently won't be a walk in the park for Slovenia on paper.

Indigo's song was kinda pecular instrumentation-wise, melodically it's not very catchy though... Not sure about that one, we'll see the full version.

Proper: a melodic ballad featuring electric guitar in the background. It sounds nice enough in Slovenian, but could really sound plain in English. It doesn't seem that special.

King Foo: regular pop-rock-ish song, it's less annoying than last year's effort, but not memorable in the slightest. There is a gospel choir it seems. Meh.

Gregor Ravnik: nice groovy song, I like the electric guitar here too, expressive voice. The chorus is rather bland though.

Based on my first listening of the snippets, this would be my ranking:

1) Proper (the best one of the bunch imo, I hope he won't sing in English if he qualifies)
2) Indigo (peculiar song, I'd like to hear the whole thing)
3) Gregor Ravnik (nice verses and overall mood, but weak chorus from what I've heard)
4) King Foo (it's messy, I don't like this at all)

Maybe the full versions and live performances will make me change my mind, but I don't think any of these acts are dangerous contenders.

Well, it's only four acts for now. I hope bet they're saving the better ones for Wednesday and Thursday.

But I agree, none of these extracts particularly light my fire either.

Anabel: not my thing... kinda underwhelming. Her voice is borderline screechy. The snippet is meh.
