This is a good pick that's going to add something different to this years Eurovision. I can't say that i'm a big fan of it (not my kind of hip) but i'm happy living with it's presence at the contest. It seems well produced and pushing all the correct buttons. Strong performance overall. Have my respectful 6 points

I hadn't seen these videos Ok, she's not that bad. I was mainly basing my opinion on her performance of "Freedom" at EMA last year, where she kinda seemed to struggle pronunciation-wise imo, maybe it depends on the song. Since "Hvala, Ne!" is quite fast-paced and rap-y - and attitude is important in this interpretation - I fear it may sound messy or wonky if she's not 100% at ease with English. As she nails it in her native language: if it ain't broken, don't fix it
I low-key don't want it to sound dull or cheap because of an unfortunate translation, but that's just my humble opinion of course xshifty
She was good at "Your face sounds familiar" imitations, I didn't hear much accent... but maybe a non-slovene would hear it more

Very out of the box, I like it! Could use some stronger instrumentation though, particularly I think some stronger percussion and some strings work go a long way in the post-chorus. Not sure it will qualify given Slovenia's spotty track record and being in the very stacked second semi, but who knows? I can really see this one going either way.

Again you don't choose BQL???? I don't understand this!
The chorus has some nice parts, but most of the song is just annoying noise. No real rap, no real singing either. Goes right to the bottom of my list.

The 6 points I think are a nice starting point for me with this. The only way to go is possibly up, as I don't dislike it and maybe in time my body can adjust itself to the levels of hipness required. I actually really like parts of the song like the chorus for instance. This is one of the better picks that happened tonight I think and it made me smile when I saw it was Lea who'd been chosen as I knew the hippest grasshopper on the forum would be incredibly pleased And sometimes that matters more. You've had a good night it seems.
And yes, let's look forward to Portugal uniting us with a beautiful slow melancholic ballad

should have been BQL so I'm kind of sad but it's still pretty good and it isn't LARA who makes an entire five-course meal of her song until it becomes something listenable at the end

I don't think it has many chances of qualifying but it isn't an obvious NQ. Proper on the other hand would be a definite NQ

At first, I also thought the anti-climatic-ness of the chorus was frustrating, but in hindsight that's actually what makes it so lit and unexpected structure-wise. The chorus is actually the best part for me (both musically and visually) after the glorious bridge obviously.
