And Marjetka was born in a distant 1982
Two years after the Irish Johnny Logan won

I hope the back vocals are not as loud on Vienna stage, I don't think they really match Marjetka's voice or enhance the song in any way xthink

well... this is again a matter of personal taste I guess. There is not a lot of backvocals so I am not worried to much. But I really really like ''Cus I know now baybe'' part (2:44) XD

Haha by now it would be a real dream for me to meet Maraaya somewhere in Vienna! I think I've never been so "obsessed" with somebody from Eurovision before... xlove They seem so nice and I just enjoy their song so much!

I really hope we give Slovenia :12: points.

It's always a pleasure to see the stars enjoying the Eurovision experience almost as much as the fans!

That song is my biggest guilty pleasure in ESC ever. It never fails to make me laugh

True.
I do think however, that they know that they won't do as well as the odds say and that they regardless of the result consider ESC as a great experience.

Well I think they are now on 9th place in the odds and that could really be possible with a good performance. Of course I'm hoping for top 5...

How can you say that? xcry
Every year there are songs that fans like and in the end don't do do that well. Most of the time they come from countries that didn't get a good result in a long while. The problems I see with this song are: messy staging, Marjetka so far gave me the impression that she is an artist for a small stage, not ESC (in other words she lacks x-factor) and she comes across as rather nervous sometimes. For a country that doesn't get high guaranteed points(the other ex-yugo countries most of the time give us just scraps), it is very important that they have a full package, otherwise the casual viewers will go for another song.
I think that this will qualify, but I don't think it will get a top 15 result. It reminds me of the UK in 2014.
IDK, maybe I'm just pessimistic, since I have a feeling that this year's podium is going to suck just as much as the one from 2011

I haven't seen any clips yet but are the problems still the same that people were complaining about before :?

They performed at all the ESC concerts and I feel like most of the reaction was not positive (but not horrible horrible). That's when they took a hit in the odds and the hype started fading.

The problems are really fixable and nothing that major so it would be really annoying for the fans if they didn't address any of them

I basically agree with you but look at us - nobody in our country really thought that we would win last year! (And of course we have similar problems: No guaranteed votes from neighbours, bad results in the past years,... Of course it was Conchita and the staging was amazing, but maybe Maraaya will perform really well too? Who knows?

pretty much, yes, they seem very convinced that a white lace dress and sparkly headphones on a static Marjetka + an occasional happy Raay face + a few air violininist solos is the best way to present this song xshrug

but I hope we're worried for no reason and we'll all be super excited and optimistic after the first rehearsal clip...

I happen to think it's a very good way too and I would think of no other as I can't see anything wrong with it, but I may be proven wrong :xshrug:
