Y'all as Europeans don't have the right to critique San Marino's entry; I have a lot of American friends who all reacted to this song with a hearty "oh my god, Calvin, stop talking about Eurovision," which I'm interpreting as they love it, so stop condescending.

I gave up trying to follow the selection, so this is literally the only song from it that I've heard, but it's pretty good! I enjoyed it a fair bit (except for those dreadful rappy parts, but no song needs that kinda nonsense
) so decent enough choice San Marino Don't see it qualifying ofc

Probably it was a strategical move, Malta and Germany are in their semi.
Especially Malta will give this 8 points at least, people know her very well in her country.
However, Sara's country Austria is in the other semi, and I doubt they would vote for an act solely because it's from their country.

2 points for this mess. It's not the worst song of the year, but it's scraping the barrel. San Marino had a real shot at qualification. I guess they didn't fancy a busy Saturday?

I'm kinda glad for Jessika - who ironically had to try her luck abroad to finally go to Eurovision - but... I don't know
Personally, I found her Maltese solo attempts ("Fandango" was gold!) better than "Who We Are": the arrangements are vanilla, the chorus unfortunately reminds me of "Heroes" and the performance is boring overall imo. Also, her vocals aren't really promising here, she did better in the acoustic version. Hopefully, she'll improve.
Even though I like Jenny B's part, IROL was a better match to me.
All I can say is: good luck for making it all work from the performance to the presentation... because there is a lot of work to do to even imagine being a borderline qualifier. Actually, I think this has 100% NQ written all over it, I don't mean Sara de Blue had a shoe in the final, but she didn't looked as hopeless as this package.
