This is strangely growing on me. I still think it's very kitchy and not my cup of tea at all, but I'm finding it incredibly uplifting and I can definitely grasp its charm in a way Dina Garipova's never did.
Like it

That wouldn't fit with the song at all, though I wouldn't complain if they actually did that. It'd make it memorable in some way, at least

Well, let's see:
"Tolmachevy Sisters "Shine"
Eurovision 2014 Russia

Music: Philipp Kirkorov (Bulgarian), Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greek)
Lyrics: John Ballard, Ralph Charlie, Gerard James Borg (I don't know the nationality of these gentlemen but they are not Russians, for sure)
Producer of song: Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greek)
Arrangement: Dimitris Kontopoulos " (Greek)

I wonder if this song wasn't Russia's entry but Greece's entry, let's say, what would be the ESC fans opinion about this song? xthink

John Ballard - Swedish
Ralph Charlie - Swedish (From what I can gather)
Gerard James Borg - Maltese

This is officially my biggest guilty pleasure of the year. I've been enjoying Portugal but rather i've been enjoying laughing hysterically at their song because of how unintentionally hilarious it is. I keep going on Youtube and watching the "Shine" music video. I hold Russia responsible for any seizures I should suffer as a result. I love so many questionable songs but I don't care about what others think. I'm beyond embarrassed for enjoying this song though. Shame on mexsnooty

It must be made of very simple words, because I can understand over half of them. Not sure has it ever happened with me. Makes me feel that I know Russian. (Studied it for ~5 years)

The melody is better on Russian, and they sound maturer, please change it to Russian dear Sisters :) #ImpossibleHope #NoWay #ItsTheOfficial #EnglishToWin #AndEasierToUnderstand :p #JoinUs

I'm used to listen to it in English, and I love it, but... Russian language is my downfall. xlove

:ru: you can still be saved and send the Russian version and have a great result in the Final. If the music quick made it could be even better with the russian and be in the top10 for sure...At least send this version it suit much more better to the music in my opinion...
